There's nothing particularly wrong with this place, if you like gray cityscapes crowded with tourists. But I though Haruya Aqua tries way to hard to be a hotel and it just ruins the atmosphere. It was very loud because the buildings are old, so sleeping felt impossible. Would not recommend.

This place is ADORABLE. The staff are also so cute and nice and helpful. I really loved this place. It is very small though. I was constantly bumping into things in the room.

It's quite easy to reach from the station by bus. The area is quiet - there isn't much choice for close by restaurants. This is a traditional Japanese stay if you are looking for that experience. I could only manage 1 night here as the female dorm was tiny so I couldn't fit my bag in the room very well. I didn't find the beds very comfortable. But the place is clean and there is a place you can experience Buddhist morning chanting close by.
