The Merchant of Venice is a splendid and completely refurbished hotel, graceful and warm with Venetian furniture of the 700.
Our hotel is situated in the heart of the city, just 200 metres from the railway station and 5 minutes from the airport.
All rooms are clean and cosy with bath or shower in each room. Amenities include: air conditioning, satellite TV, minibar and internet access.
We offer a rich buffet breakfast and free excursions to the island of Murano
From the 24th of August 2011, all visitors who stay in an accommodation facility within the territory
of the Municipality of Venice have to pay the "Tourist tax".
The collected funds will help the City improve the quality of the tourist services (services,
museums, events,…) and finance works aimed at maintaining, using and salvaging the city's
cultural and architectural heritage.

Latest Review
The hostel was right near the Ferrovia, which made finding it really easy. You couldn't get into the bedroom area without the key from the clerk at the desk, so that made me feel safe. That being said, at night, it was incredibly loud outside (maybe just because it was during carnival, but who knows). The wall paper was peeling in some areas of the room, and there was mildew on the wall under it. Wasn't the best place, and wasn't the best price, but it's a place to sleep with a great location.
