Thanks to the staff for providing such a good stay. One suggestion would be to not rent out the roof top room in winter. Also a better map would help in locating the hostel.

Deserves straight full mark! Staff very friendly & cheerful, speak fluent English, most happy to help plan my trip, & walked many extra miles to help. The place is quiet yet accessible, in a down-to-earth, ambient & safe area with a friendly small community. Hostel w personal touch,setup with small details thought through. Very very clean (no shoes policy). I lived in a private room- tiny but sufficient. Shared bathrooms again very clean (also hv rooms with private bathroom). A very happy stay.

Lovely, clean hostel. We stayed on the very top floor (4th floor) and room seemed like it hadnt been stayed in for a while as it was really dusty! Location is a bit far from kyoto station and Gion etc so if you stay here prepare to do a lot of walking. Other than that, it was great.
