We had a wonderful stay at the Inlake Youth Hostel. The location was fab, right next to the lake and within walking distance of the shopping area and cafes. The staff were excellent with helping us when we needed it. The hostel is one of the most beautiful places I have stayed at. I would recommend this place to any traveler.

Very near the West Lake, yes, but you can't reach it in fact when you enter the hostel. No convenient public transportation nearby, have to take a taxi to get to the railway station. Fortunately, I used public bicycles almost the whole time. Besides, I don't like the atmosphere there, at least not for our backpackers.

This is a beautiful hotel in a perfect location right on West Lake. But, it is more of a hotel than a hostel. As a hostel, it lacks some of the basic facilities that backpackers need (such as laundry facilities). And there is no common area, really. There is a restaurant, but since the restaurant was so nice, I felt I had to dress in day clothes, when all I really wanted to do was relax in my sweats and have a beer while I checked e-mail. As a hotel, though, it's a very good choice.

i would like to highly recommend this hostel for Xi-hu travelling in Hangzhou, the location is fantastic. The famous Xi-hu is just beside and the bicycle rental is just across from street. they both can be reached by walk in only half minute. also the receptionist is very friendly! only one thing needs to be considering is must book in advance! :)

This is the nicest hostel I have stayed in and is more like a boutique hotel than a youth hostel. Perfect location, excellent rooms and a real retreat for when you need to escape the crowds (we came on tomb sweeping weekend). Flowers are everywhere, the roof garden a delight and I was especially impressed by the comfort on offer. Get a deluxe room with a small balcony- you won't be disappointed!

Great choice in Hangzhou and good value for money (dorms), one shower/toilet is not quite enough for a 6-bed dorm in the morning but we managed. Staff was helpful and found us a nice hot-pot restaurant (same building as carrefour). We also got towels for free and a hairdryer. Drinks in the Restaurant/Bistro are a bit overpriced imO but quality of food is good and there is hot water and some tea to make your own for free. Location could not be better: directly at the lake

The most comfortable and cosy hostel during our 10 days trip in Hangzhou and Huangshan. The place is very homely and decorated with flowers everywhere. The location was fantastic next to Xihu and Xihu Xiandi. The room was like a home and although it was winter, the room heater is the best to keep the room warm and cosy.
