Needs to replace beds, floors. It needs a bathroom renovation, and the common area is the worst I have seen in any hostel.

Great place, nice staff and nice rooms. The first hostel I've stayed at, so my expectations were low. But the hostel was above and beyond what I thougt it would be. Great place, great location!

For the price you pay for this hostel it's not worth it.. We were in a 5 bed dorm that was so tiny we had to leave the windows open to let let some air flow in.. The showers and so tiny and no where to put your things without getting all your clothes wet. Linen had marks all over them.. Also the stairs in this place are so steep and if you don't have a backpack there is no way you will get your suitcase up there. The only good thing about this place is location.. But I would not recommend.

Nice staff and excellent location. The entrance to the showers unfortunately doesn't have a lock (the shower itself does) and it becomes a game of quickly undressing and jumping in before anyone else comes by. It's definitely in the middle of everything which makes it a bit loud on weekends, but right next to the action. Good people passing through and there is always someone downstairs in the smoking room.

I stayed in a 6-mixed-bedroom, with my friend. We came at 9 pm and the guy gave us the key and the wifi password.

The room we were put in did not have wifi, despite being advertised. It also did not have heat. They provided us with a small space heater that was a fire hazard and was too weak to counteract the fact that neither window closed all the way. It was around 30 degrees Fahrenheit so we were freezing the whole stay. The whole place reeked of cigarette smoke and the shower barely functioned.

only the location was in a plus, accommodation was cheap, but poor condition of facilities - shower; rather quiet; inconvenient staircase if anyone is older or not able to climb up I'd not recommend; kitchen in poor conditions good that we have not had a breakfast; if anyone wants to have budget accommodation in the strict city center for sightseeing not to have relax and luxuries that is a good place;

This hostel is very basic, in a decent location, and fairly clean. However, the hostel did not have a friendly vibe nor a good atmosphere; no one (including the staff sometimes) would greet or chat with other guests aside from those they came with in the common areas. However, this isn't necessarily a fault of the hostel. Though at 11/12 euros a night it's not too bad, I probably wouldn't stay here again.

It 's a budget hostel, don't expect chic light fixtures. It was fairly claustrophobic, with a smell of old smoke, but the bathrooms and dorm were fine, good location, good price. Chances are high there will be some dude with substantial body odor passed out all afternoon in your dorm, and chances are average that it'll be you.

I think the hostel was great. The only negative thing I have to say it's the noise.. the wall are verry small and you can ear evrthing from the others rooms

I just think the kitchen could be better, once we have to ask for our food everytime we need something to eat.

Very small rooms, my neighbor woke me up many times at night when his feet were touching my head... The price can vary a lot and it was far to much expensive compared to the quality I expected.

The location was perfect and I got what I expected for my money. It would be goid if they have lockers or a safe place where e can leave our valuables though. It was a bit shabby but clean and the bads were comfortable.

I stayed there for two nights, in the middle of the week because I wanted to avoid the usual weekend tourists who go to Amsterdam for 2 things. I failed and wound up in a room with 5 young British boys who were extremely messy and inconsiderate. The hostel itself is OK, nothing amazing but nothing awful. I just would warn anyone thinking of staying there to beware the clientele such a cheap hostel attracts. If you JUST need a place to sleep, it does the trick. Need anything more? Look elsewhere.

The staff was friendly and helpful, showers and toilets were basic and clean. Unfortunately there is no kitchen which you can use on your own. The common room is very basic and not inviting, there is a smoking room as well. Wifi was good, furthermore one PC you can use to go online. Altogether ok, if you only need a place to sleep and spend your days outside the hostel.

Overall pretty average hostel with nothing that stands out. Probably the loudest hostel every stayed in as well, the doors (designed by a complete idiot) make such a loud slam that everyone wakes up every time they are used. Also scaffolding outside the window at 6am is not a very good idea especially without warning people staying there first. Other than these, the staff were very helpful though a bit confusing as to why children are working at reception when people are smoking near by....

I was fine for the 3 weeks that I have been hosted at the hostel. the staff is very friendly, especially Kadir very nice and helpful .. even jessica that helped me a lot for so.fi. nummer and things like that. the hostel is in a perfect location 1 minute walk from Leidseplein .. one of the three major markets of Amsterdam, in addition there are plenty of coffee shops and restaurants near a CLAB (PARADISO) ONE OF THE MOST FAMOUS! For all these things I recommend it very much. CRISTIAN.

It was a great hostel, just make sure they haven't double-booked your bed. They rectified the problem, though, all good !
