Nice, in an awkward way, a way that is somewhat charming. Stairs are steep but manageable (even with suit cases), rooms are oddly shaped and a little cramped but pleasant. And atmosphere is friendly as long as you don't mind that atmosphere being filled with ganja smoke ( and don't mind sitting in the ganja room whilst using the wifi, which is a bit patchy elsewhere).

Was a good stay, small rooms and beds as you expect for the price but that's not a problem! Had a great smoking/common room with TV, smoking utensils, food, vending machines, coffee, etc, enjoyed my stay though it was short, only complaint would be there wasn't enough lockers for the amount of people in the room. Was about a 15-20 min walk to the city, but again, for 20 Euro's you can't complain!

Its location and helpful staff made this worth the stay, plus the beds were better than I expected.

So far is the best place I've stayed, staff is friendly they call you by name! The smoking area lunch is awesome to meet people I made a lot of friends there :) I definately go back to this place. The facilities are basic but clean and worked perfect! I love the free wi fi too!

I liked my stay, not an extremely social hostel so would be better if travelling with others. In a really great location, close to a great restaurants and the red light district. One of the guys at recpetion was amazing, who went totally out of his way to help people with their questions and problems.

Not the best character, cold and uninviting. Really just a place to sleep.

The staff was very unhelpful. They claimed they give an information paper on check in and never did. When I had to checkout before their 9:00am opening time they complained it was my fault for not reading the information paper given at check in so not knowing it was supposed to open unitl 9:00 am and did not even apologize. Other than that, very clean and amazing location.

I found this hostel to be little more than just a place to put your bags down. It was tiny and incredibly hard to find, but what I disliked the most was the lack of any activities designed to help meet new people at the hostel that I'm used to seeing at other hostels.

The girl at the front desk from Australia was awesome. Very helpful and kind. As a girl who likes to get ready to go out, the bathroom/shower situation was not ideal, as the bathroom was seperate from the shower. Our room the first night was quite smelly, which is probably no fault of the hostel. Regardless of the rules, the lady at the front desk wanted us to enjoy our last night stay and changed our rooms, which was great. :) location is AWESOME if you want to party in Leidseplein! :)

Although this hostel was in a good location, the faculties all appeared and felt dirty. The building was cramped and awkward to navigate, you would have a hard time getting a large piece of luggage up the stairs and around the corner. The rooms and beds were consistent with the atmosphere of the entire building. At least there were clean sheets.

This is definitely a Budget Hostel. It is recomended for those who are not thinking of spending to much money and are not minding a lot of comfort. Good points: Budget stay, cleaningness, location. Not so good: Not comfortable due to the tight common spaces. Not having a kitchen, but they do heat your food in their own kitchen.

i had the best time.. even tho the place was under construction and there are 73 stairs to get to the top room.. i loved everry minute of it.. the common smoking ganja area was just great to meet new people, and have a chilled time.. love it

Slamming doors and sensor lights in the toilets that keep going out, so you have to wave an arm in the air frantically, and shower heads that spray everywhere. The more water efficient shower heads with good spray, would save time in the shower, and water as well!
