Great location. 1min walking to Shinbashi very picturesque area in Gion. Minimal facilities but enough.

Jam Hostel was pretty average overall. There was definitely nothing wrong with it, but compared to many hostels I've been in it wasn't particularly welcoming. I would say that Jam Hostel is very utilitarian--all of the basics are provided, but no more. One thing I disliked was having to go to a different floor to shower. I will say, however, that the beds were extremely comfortable. Jam Hostel's greatest asset is its location.

The location of this hostel was absolutely amazing. It was in downtown Kyoto and everything is within walking distance lets say about 40 mins.

Great location. Perfect if you want to visit Gion and surrounds! Close to train station and main streets. Highly recommend! The only downside is that there is not much atmosphere as some hostels have but the other aspects of this hostel definitely makes up for that
