Maybe it's not the fanciest hostel in Kyoto, but you get good value for the money. Also the location is nice with several going out areas nearby and two subway stations.

When I told the staff that there's a bug in the bed, he didn't seem to believe me. My mom was bitten. I thought it might be a flea. The atmosphere made me feel like I'm in a hospital ward or something.

Good location at the station and near the cultural and shopping districts. Kyoto is easy to get around. I should have hired a bike. Nice people staying at Jam at the same time.

In the morning it took ages to wait people who was in the shower room. :)

I had an amazing stay of 3 nights in the hostel. I met some amazing people, and I made some new friends.

This hostel was fine! There was no real atmosphere or communal area. But if you just want a bed close to a station it will do the trick.

could not get a better location for exploring the sites of Kyoto, but this is not the easiest place to access if you have a JR pass as you will need to take subway/bus from Kyoto station.

Friendly and helpful staff. Loved the design of the hostel. Great facilities too. Just a little far from the JR Line, but that wasn't too big of a deal. Def. reccommend it!

great location, the common room is really tiny so it is mostly a place to sleep

Hotel staffs seems didnt care enough to guests. there's only 2 bathrooms and at the peak time (in the morning), 1 bathroom cant be used so the queing was very long. and the staff didnt come to check whats wrong with the bathroom. and it complicate enough since we had to go to the bar (which is on 1st floor and different part of building) to fill up our tumblr. the staff didnt friendly enough on the 1st day we came. seems he dididnt comfortable to be asked common question by tourists.
