Stayed here in April 20 for a week. Very friendly and helpful staff, very clean and calm atmosphere. The beds were confortable, the rooms had lockers inside and the wifi worked quite good. Location was perfect, close to everything: cheap supermarket, banks, pubs, shops and sky tower. One of the best hostels i've ever been. Definetly would stay here again.

It was a pretty good place to stay. It wasnt interesting but funtional. Wifi was a selling point and they had rooms short notice. Fairly clean and stocked well. The cafe below the hostel is amazing. The hostel also had a roof top patio. Some where to smoke and drink a beer. I had one night where guys were being to loud but it was fine.

The only good thing: location. Very dirty place, spoiled breakfast, stupid staff - didnt know where beaches are, where to go for shopping, how to get to the airport!!! You can find better place for sure!!!!!!!!!!

On arriving at K Road my initial thoughts were something along the lines of, this seems like a nice place, with the smell of insense and the very friendly receptionist who even asked did we want more privacy by closing the door when paying, ehh??..... This is when we discovered that we were actually in a "sensual relax" massage parlour and judging by the girl's outfits I can only assume happy endings are involved! Once actually getting into the hostel it became immediately apparent that it wasn't a backpac

There was a person who use to snores loudly at night. I had tough time to sleep at night. I requested hostel staff to change my room but they never did it. I was unable to sleep at night

The staff was helpful and the location is pretty central, just a short walk to Queen st and about 20 min to the wharfs. The free breakfast is only sliced white bread, jam and peanut/white butter (plus the complimentary black tea and powder milk and powder coffee), the internet connection is free yet slow, the board with "sensual relax" is right there when you walk up the stairs and there is no lift for 2 floors. Anyway I recommend the hostel, the provided services outnumber other hostels'.

Definitely clean and safe with all of the essentials. If you are looking only for a place to safely and comfortably lay your head, this place is for you. If you're looking for a hostel that facilitates getting to know thy neighbor, this place lacks that character and is not for you. FREE internet and in room lockers are included, which seems to be a rarity in these parts of the world.

We chose this hostel for its good, central location and its free wifi (as many hostels in Auckland don't seem to offer this). The wifi worked well most of the time and did just what we needed. Bathroom was fine, workable, but the kitchen is only good for 1-2 people to use at a time so somewhat inconvenient if you rely on cooking. Deposit for towels which we got back. Watch going here on a Fri/Sat night as there's a club pretty much next door with loud music much of the night.

The room gives me a feeling like I'm in prison. Very small and through the window you are looking at a wall. Bathroom clean. Breakfast oke.
