I was skeptical based on some previous negative reviews, but this place did the job for me. My pillows were quite hard.

My room was by the road and it was difficult to sleep because of traffic outside the window.

The toilets in the hotel were NOT WORKING and DID NOT FLUSH. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE CONDITIONS!! The room smelled bad. The bed was a vinyl mattress and vinyl pillows. The hallways were littered with garbage. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

I like the location but that is the extent of this experience. It was too noisy to sleep because the woman working spoke too loud in the hallway. Plus, she knocked on my door at 11:30 PM while I was asleep, and asked for the money for the room I was going to pay in the morning. Price is good but don't expect anything else.

Excellent location, buses to everywhere and subway nearby. Miss Ip is very friendly and accommodating. If you like Chungking Express, you'll like the decor. I have no problem flushing the toilet manually. I'll be back.

The lady in charge can't speak much English. She sounded a little rude or harsh but don't be put off by that, that's just the way she speaks. She is actually very helpful and always eager to provide advices and recommend places to visit. This place is really for those on budget unfortunately. If you were to ask me, I would still go back since I travel on budget. However, it's really just a place for washing up and sleeping :)

I can't even begin to tell you how bad it was,not only was the place very unsanitary it stinks! & the staff was very rude and invaded our privacy and personal belongings while we were outside the hotel room. The landlady treated us like dirt, she told us to leave the place immediately the next day even before the check-out time, she really throw us out into the main street. Very rude and unethical of her. Buttomline "Kawut Villa is the worst hostel ever! Completely not recommendable."

the room was pretty small but I think it s a standard for HK. toilets are inside the shower so they are always wet, and the only window you have on the outside is the TV. For 33 euro I think you cant have something better here.
