When the sun sets, head to Victoria Harbour around 8pm to see the city light up with a dazzling light show. The famous Central Mid-Level escalators are a must too, boasting the world’s longest outdoor covered escalators. Find inner Zen from the hustle and bustle in Man Mo Temple or Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery in the countryside.

Exploring Hong Kong is easy with one of the world’s safest and most efficient public transport systems. The Mass Transit Railway is the easiest way around, connecting most of the islands. The rest are serviced by frequent ferries. From Hong Kong International Airport the train is 25 minutes to Hong Kong station in the centre or for a cheaper but slower option there are plenty of public bus routes to get you to your youth hostel.
