We loved our time here, being so close to Gion really helped us see as much as possible in a short time. The staff recommendations were amazing. They helped us hire bikes and do day trips out of Kyoto. I would highly recommend it to anyone staying in Kyoto.

Staff were amazing and really helpful. Definite value for money as it was in a really great location. Central to everything and close to subway lines. Rooms were small but if your on holiday, the size of your room and bed should be the last thing you think about. Overall 9 out of 10 only because we could hear people talking loudly in the room next to ours. Would highly recommend and would stay here again!

It's close to Kyoto station where there are a lot of great things to see like the temples. It's also across the street from a market. Staff is very nice and speaks English. The washrooms and showers are super clean! The sinks look almost brand new.

Easy to see why these guys have been voted 3rd best in asia!!! Staff were amazing, so many things on offer. Location was brilliant, in walking distance to a lot of things and cheap supermarkets. The lounge was spacious and u could really relax here. Activities planned were great and i would recommend taking advantage as they r free and u get to met some great people. Rooms were clean, comfy and quiet, great for the solo traveler!

Very good location. Located in the center of Kyoto. Near the subway station 👍

This hostel is very good, location, staff, facilities, except a bad point. The iron lockers inside the room, so noisy when somebody take something in it, so you wake up every five minutes...

Location is very strategic very near to subway station and bus station. If you love shopping then this will be perfect hostel for you as it is near Takashimaya and lot of other stuff to shop for nearby. Stuff can speak well english and very helpful. The shared bathroom is very clean. Room is very clean and don't have those fully smell. Highly recommended!

Great location, stayed earlier this year the wifi has been improved. Will stay again.

should separate toilet between men and women in each floor

Place was located near Gion district which was a lot of fun! Good vibes and a lot to do and see; a lot of good bars and clubs. Went to an awesome bar called "Open me up", and went to a restaurant where we ate some horse meat. Was delicious! Was close to a couple different train stations which made it easy. Was a bit of a walk from the Shijo station but didn't mind too much, since it was easy as pie to get to everywhere else from there. Ps. ¥270 beer vending machine near by.WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN

The most fun common area I've seen in Kyoto, with a friendly and diverse crowd of travellers. My only disappointment was that the dorm bunks were very low-privacy, surprisingly so given the price. Would stay again in a private room, but probably skip the dorms.

Is about 5 minutes walk from the nearest subway station. Centrally located, a lot of shops around. The staffs speak perfect English and were so helpful. We spent 2 nights in bunk bed room. The room was not so spacious yet it still was very cozy. U will able to open at least 2 luggages on the room floor. The toilet and shower were very clean. You can hang out at the dining area or in front of the exceptional desk to meet new friend.

Recomended! Staff is friendly, location so strategis. Must choise!

The hostel is located right near the beautiful Gion district and close to all public transport. The staff were great and gave us a lot of info on the city. Very clean bathrooms!

all the staff were very helpful and friendly

The Hostel was good value for what we payed. I had one shower, and it was ice cold and would not get warm at all, and it was on a rainy day. The location was alright, if you like Kyoto buses. Probably a good hostel to choose in Kyoto, but we were really disappointed with Kyoto in general, so that altered our opinions a lot. Kyoto had a lot of miserable people that ruined the experience. We were shoved us off the bus twice, even though we were the first people waiting at the stop.

Walking distance to shopping maket. Not too far from subway station. Excellent location! and value for money.

Loved staying here. Comfortable beds, privacy curtains in dorms, spacious rooms. Location is prime - right in the center of Kyoto. Staff is INCREDIBLE. Wow, so nice and helpful. One of them even helped me book a temple in Koyasan because I was having trouble navigating various Japanese sites. The lounge/kitchen/living room area is large, well-arranged, and well-equipped. No complaints - highly recommended!

Odd smell in the rooms, the walls between rooms are too thin.. i could literally listen to next room mobile phone conversation, the showers facilities are decent but its hard to adjust to right temperature for showing.. its either too hot or too cold. Please improve on the air ventilation in the rooms so you guys could remove the foul/odd smell in the rooms.
