Other than the hoarder living in the bunk below me that left piles of junk in front of the stairs to my bunk and kept me awake at times with rustling of bags, the stau was good. Location is good

This was a great hostel. Apart from the rooms being very small, there really aren't any complaints to make.

There is nothing I don't like about this hostel. The bed is comfy and the bed curtain provides privacy. The facilities are good except for the wifi, during "hot hours" (7p.m.~12a.m.), the wifi is a bit weak. But other than that, everything is perfect!

I picked this place because it was centrally located in the center of Kyoto near a main subway station. That proved to be a great asset for using public transpo while I was visiting the city. Japanese public transport is clean, efficient, even if a bit expensive. The hostel was big, always lots of people around if you want to swap stories or suggestions. Rooms were clean, and bathrooms kept relatively clean considering the amount they get used. Wifi could have been better, but good enough.

This was a really nice hostel in a decent location that was easily accessible by bus. The facilities were very nice, although the WiFi didn't work very well on computers (but worked fine on other devices). Overall, this was an excellent place, and I would definitely stay here again.

A very good, well-run hostel. Good location from which to explore Kyoto. Lounge/kitchen area is nice and relaxing and met some great people there. Khoasan also operate another hostel close by that has a bar, which was also good for meeting people as a solo traveller. There are also convenience stores 10 seconds away and a supermarket about 30 seconds away if you wish to cook.

Only stayed here two nights. Its was very affordable, good facilities and a nice common area. Location is great, right next to Gion and a major shopping/dining area. Very tidy and enough storage space if you're travelling light-ish. Overall a good stay, unfortunately I wasn't there when any of the group activities were happening.

Good place, so clean that they open all windows (in winter thats very cold) for 3 hours in de common area and the dorm from 11 till 2. So you dont have privacy (because there cleaning) and are really cold. a far from that it's a nice place and every once in a while theres a language shower and i think thats a great initiative, for meeting japanes people and learn a bit of the language.
