Kinlay House Hostel Galway Reviews

New renovations were great! Lots of fun people. Great location in Galway. Literally only complaint is there were no lockers. I would definitely recommend this hostel and will probably stay there again myself.

Very clean, nice hostel. Larger than I thought. Rooms were nice and spacious. Small bathroom and small shower, but nice to have your own. Really liked the lobby and dining room areas - nice to spend time in. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Nice atmosphere, kind staff, good location. Especially, the staff was amazing. whenever I asked about tours and their facillities, the lady in the reception was so kind of me and I've got a good impresstion.

We went to Kinlay House as part of a college group excursion. Frank the manager was extremely helpful right from the start and so accommodating that he made organising the trip a breeze. He gave us the group rate, which is only €10 a bed and he gave the same rate to the 7 people who stayed a second night. He made sure we got vouchers for food at a local restaurant and the whole atmosphere of the place was amazing. Seriously friendly and helpful and I would recommend Kinlay to everyone!

delightful experience except the shower, and if you're looking for a quiet place to sleep, then this may not be the one. by the way, this is not the hostel's fault.

Inviting, clean and friendly staff.. but no heating system in the rooms.. not good for winter.

Staff was very nice and helpful, the place is very well located, 2min walk from eyre square and the main points of interest of galway. Great atmosphere, everything was perfect!! If i go to galway, i'll definitely stay there again.

This hostel is perfectly located in the center of the city. Best deal ever, the staff is very nice and helpful. 24hours reception security, someone there to inform you anytime. Good fun there, it's nice and clean and very safe. Also all the colors looks great in the kitchen and common room. I'l go back without any hesitation!

There was not a comfortable place to just sit and read. There was the first night I stayed, but for some reason the couches were removed and gone the next day. The tables by the lobby do not have comfortable chairs and are out in the open and you get easily distracted from what you're reading by people in the kitchen or coming to reception. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, though. I appreciated the included breakfast and the free internet. I also loved having a room to myself! :) Thanks!!

The people working the desk were incredibly nice! We had a great time just talking to them and joking around! They were also incredibly helpful, especially Frank the new manager. He was absolutely fantastic and helped us with planning the next bit of our trip. The room was very spacious for a hostel and the hostel had everything we needed! Thanks, Kinlay house!

This was my second stay in Kinlay House and I can still highly recommend it. Very clean, friendly staff that gave us some good insider advices on where to go for party.

I loved Kinlay House. I was planning on staying a night or two - ended up there for 4! The staff was incredible, seriously, the nicest people and super helpful. I felt at home here - which is unusual for a hostel. I hear they're going through a renovation soon -- and I hope the place keeps it's homey feel! I didn't want to leave! I can't wait to go back to Galway - and staying in this hostel is a big motivator for going back as soon as I can!

I liked the hostel. bad, they have girls bathrooms far removed from the rooms. My room had the wrong lock, the staff offered to change rooms. In that very well! but lacking a bit of security and control when really know who is staying in the hostel and who does not! In the room we were sleeping in the habitacion.pero 4 a boy brought a girl and began to follar.Pense that would be a bit quieter, but were not, so notify security a little late. They gave me another room but I do not sleep at all!

Great place! Comfortable, perfect location, friendly staff, I'd say there again!

Lovely hostel

best sleep i've ever had in a hostel, showers kept changing temp mostly luke warm to cold. Right in the centre of Galway.

I enjoyed the hostel a lot. it´s a nice place both the rooms and common areas. The staff is the best. I only have a complain, becase there were many students groups and they were running in the corridors, drinking and shouting until late in the morning, so It was very annoying to sleep there and I think the staff or security hould take care of this.

The hostel was beautiful inside - the murals were so cool! And the location is perfect - not five minutes from downtown and just a few seconds from the bus and train station.

It was our first stay in a hostel and we enjoyed it very much. Clean rooms, nice and very friendly staff. The only thing we did not like was the water in the showers - it was definitely too hot. Anyway a very good hostel.
