Couldn’t ask for a better introduction to Galway. The hostel is perfectly located right next to the trains and busses at the city center. Walking distance to the Latin quarter, and very social. It can get kinda crowded sometimes at the free breakfast and just hanging out in the main area. A bunch of solo travelers there and tours to the Aran islands or The Cliffs of Moher available to book at reception. Can get a little hot in the rooms until they turn on the ac at 8pm. Overall impressed.

Clean, mostly comfortable - if not a bit warm at night (my stay was during an unusually hot & sunny week), this hostel and its staff was a great value in a perfect location. The dinners and pub crawl were laid back occasions with a great social atmosphere. In my room there was a lot of street noise, and the gulls cried all night, but all-in-all not unbearably loud. I would stay here again.
