Very pleasant and welcoming staff. Small rooms, but that is to be expected for any hostel in this part of town. It's a great value for Hong Kong, especially if you have a very busy schedule and only need a place to sleep for the night.

Clean rooms and very helpful and friendly staff. A lady who owns the hostel speaks Mandarin and English - she is a very nice and interesting person. I will definitely recommend the place to my friends.

The hostel was very secure and the staff were very friendly to us. We kindly asked if we could leave our luggage with them even after we checked out and they were so gracious to watch it for us the whole day. The room is small, but it's clean. Our linens were cleaned frequently. The only downside is the downstairs area getting up to the hostel. It is probably the sketchiest place in all of Hong Kong. Beware of a bunch of hustlers!

Excellent staff, helpful and surprisingly handly. Clean rooms, size it what you can expect from Chunking or Mirador mansions. Been few times in both, Kyoto lately renovated and for me no1. You dont need too much space to sleep, only problem when two person in a room and other in shower, other clothing with bags open... Just find the way to manage it ;) No closet, only table, but easy to keep things in bag under the bed. Easy to make your morning coffee or noodles. Next time in HK sure choise!

The entrance to the hostel's building is a little dirty and there are people handing out papers and trying to sell things, but the actually hostel is very clean. The area is very convenient to the subway and to ferries. The hostel doesn't really have a common space or a "party" atmosphere like other hostels, so it's better for couples and families. The rooms are very small, but so is everything in HK.

There was no gathering area, no resturant, no information for tours or things to see & do & the refrigerator in the hall was filled with what appeared to be enough food for a resturant. The proprieter wasn't there when we arrived so we had no way to get in, nor was she there when we were ready to leave. When we asked to store our suitcases after we checked out, they were just left in the hall- easily accessable to anyone!! The entire place seemed to be a low-rent housing area for immigrants!

it's a place to sleep not a place to relax after a long day of visits. the staff is really great only 2 women, one speak perfectly english. i never saw such a small room before ( we were in a private room with shared bathroom) we were able to touch both side of the wall on the bed ; you really feel oppressed in the room and the air con in extremely noisy !! but it was the cheapest when we visited hkg!

It's a Chung Kingdom Mansion accommodation (read up on what to expect from Chung King Mansions before booking) and excellent value for Hong Kong. I stayed in a double ensuite room which was tiny, of course, but slightly bigger than in other Chung King places I've stayed in before. The room was clean and they provide fresh towels every 2nd day. There was a window providing natural light and air conditioning (slightly on the noisy side). Staff was helpful. The location is excellent. Recommended.

The staff were helpful and friendly. My room was very small, but hey - it's not The Peninsula and it's priced accordingly. It's secure, clean and quiet though. Downsides are running the gauntlet of touts and hash dealers in the foyer at ground level and out in the street at the entrance to Chungking Mansions. It's a minor annoyance though and otherwise, I can't complain about the location. Also has possibly the world's slowest elevator.

It was excellent in general !! :) The room has only a small window, but instead it was really warm in the night. It is still cold at nights (Mar) but I wore only sleeve-less shirt and very short pants while sleeping. Privacy is kept and the lady was kind, the room was clean and neat. It was furnished with air conditioner, TV, and a night stand. Though the bathroom is small (you'd rather take shower than using the basin), but hot water keeps coming out (not the case in other guesthouse I stayed).

Rooms are quite small like all other hostels, first two nights we choose the queen size bed and it was really small but clean and fulfill the purpose for sleep only. Toilet/WC was just big enough for you to stand and close the door but it was really clean. For more spacious, you should get the twin single bed room as it was a bit bigger. Overall. I was satisfied with the room and the owner (mdm wong) and helper (ms.jane) were really helpful. Only problem was queue to use lift at ground floor.

This place is TINY! It was fun to say I stayed in a 'Hong Kong Special' hotel, with a room that couldn't have been more than 50 square feet. The location is great, don't let the few shady people that hang around the lobby fool you. As long as you don't spend any time in your room aside from sleeping, you'll be fine.

This was our first time staying in a hostel in Hong Kong. We stayed in a 3-bedroom, the room was quite small-not much space to walk around and if you have big luggage, you have to open it one by one-there's space under the bed to store your luggage .but hey for the price we paid-we think it was reasonable.3 minutes away from Tsim sa Tshui MTR station.you can find halal pakistani food in the building itself. The staff was absolutely fantastic and friendly.Thank you auntie for waiting for us!
