It is very good located in the city in Chinatown, a few steps to the train, Merdeka Square, Mosques, Chinatown, Bus terminal, the hostel has air con in the all floors and the staff is helpful and friendly, also has free breakfast.

Great little spot close to train station and China town. Area might be a bit dodgy at night for those living in the first world. Regards to the hostel, you get more than what you pay for.

It's very comfortable to live here. Washroom is very clean the room is tidy. I had good sleep here Location is perfect and it's near from Chinatown so I could enjoy breakfast in Chinatown. And it's only 3 minutes walk from the LRT station. I will definitely recommend this hostel to my friends who stay in KL.

Located near a metro station but is kinda far out from everything. That being said, great rates though the stairs are steep. Would recommend.

Enjoyed our three day stay at Matahari. A very clean, basic hotel with a calm and pleasant atmosphere. The staff were very helpful and there are lots of information tit-bits on the notice boards. Breakfast was simple but unlimited and tea, coffee and cold water provided all day! Would certainly recommend to other backpackers. We have booked our last two nights there before we return to UK.

excellent, staff, location, just what i needed for an overnite stay before catching a flight the following morning! put it this way, i've been K.L before and i'm back again next week, and am gonna book here again! ideal, wd recommend to other travelers as it's in a really perfect spot for the bus, train, china-town market thingy and a wee day shopping at petronas towers which is 10 minutes on the easy to use train.

Very clean and comfortable hostel right in the centre of KL. There are cheaper places to stay but it's well worth paying a little extra to stay here.

I found this hostel really at the top in terms of location, atmosphere, cleanliness. From the outside the hotel looks shabby, but luckily I found a cozy place. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are basic and clean as were the bathrooms clean. The atmosphere is lovely and it is easy to meet other travelers in the common area. It 'just a few meters from the bus station and rail station and this allows to reach any place in KL in a short time. It is located in China town alive. I'll be back s
