The hostel is just located in the perfect place, near to city's historical centre The Old China Town and near to Transportation but the conditions are very bad. Rooms are very small and windowless also the sheets, pillow and blanket they give you look dirty. No closet in the room just a metal bookshelf and no AC in the windowless room just a FAN. Also no WiFi in the room, even in lounge poor signal is! Breakfast was very poor and most of the stuff acting weird kinda a visitor do not want to see.

Very clean, very very high bunks, free lockers in the room and beds are allocated before you go into the room. We stayed in a fan room, but it blew in cold air from the hall way which was had air con which was good but It did make the doors slam. Really close to pasir seni train station just over the road and walking distance to china town. Annoying that the wifi is only available in the breakfast/living room area and not in the rooms. Overall good, would stay again.

Just opposite Pasar Seni LRT station, beside Maybank and 7-Eleven...

It was a quick stop over. The staff were really helpful at answering our questions. Good facilities for breakfast and good location. The beds were fine and the bathroom clean. We were quite close to the shared bathroom so the commute wasn't too bad.

Good location with heritage trails and spots like Masjid Jamek, Textile museum and Dataran Merdeka walkable from the hotel. Not forgetting Petaling Street which is a 5 mins walk. Helpful and friendly staff.

Matahari Lodge is well-located close to bus and train, 7-11, ATM, Central Market, +street market. Staff are quite friendly, helpful w local +other travel info +tours. 'Breakfast' =wht bread(toaster avail), marg, PnButter, grape jelly. Cold+hot water, tea, pwd creamer, inst coffee avail 24*7. Rooms are quiet +CLEAN, bed comfy, towel provided; toilets*showers are kept clean >>bring own soap, shmp. Desktop comp avail; mgr will print boarding pass fr your email. WiFi, occas spotty, also avail in roo

I really appreciate to staffs there. They are so reponsible and kind. The location is just near station, central market and chinatown. If they can setup wifi more stable on each floor, it would be perfert to stay and recommend. Will be one of the greatest and memorable hostel for me.

We had a brilliant stay at this hostel. Friendly staff and excellent location. Just a really good experience overall. 10/10 Would definitely come back here!

Ok place to stay for a night or two but facilities aren't incredible. The hallways to the rooms are poorly lit, wifi is incredibly slow and doesn't always work in the rooms, the room itself is tiny with only a bed and a shelf in it and it isn't really airconditioned. Essentially all the air con units are in the hallway and there is a massive fan in each room which blows air from the hallway into the room. It keeps the room to a reasonable temperature but it's not ideal. But great location.

The individual door lock is not very secure. The pillow is also a bit dirty.

absolutely would come back here again if I visit KL again

I only stayed here for 1 night to transit through Malaysia and thought the basic 8 Dorm room was subpar, I've seen better hostels. Although security was very good, but the beds were squeaky and the AC's were set up outside the room with ventilations on each dorm room. Definitely the type of hostel you can have a good nights sleep after hitting Reggae bar across the street. This is near Chinatown which is one of the few redeeming factors, but nonetheless good for a 1 - 2 nights stay.

The place was clean and the toliet was cleaned regularly, near to the LRT station so it's easy to go around the city

Location was very convenient for getting the trains and monorail. Hostel was really nice, felt safe and slept well. Only negative was the poor breakfast provided, which was just bread and some toppings. However, would definitely stay there again.

The staff there are great, always ready to offer advice. Location is good if you happen to like to visit China Town.

Great accommodation if you are travelling with a partner. The room was large, the bed comfortable, and the security good. The atmosphere down the hallways outside the rooms was a little dreary due to the lack of lights, but nothing to complain about. Air conditioned air is moved from the hall into the rooms by a single powerful fan - make sure the fan is running if you want your room to be cool! Location is amazing, close to shopping, bar, transport, everything!

Nice place. Cheap and you get what you paid for. It's clean which is good. Wifi isn't that great unless you're on the top floor

I like it so much!! It's very safe and convenient . Whatever The dorm or single room is ok!!
