Keep in mind you are staying at a hostel, not a 5-star. That said, this hostel is fine for what it is intended to be. Biggest complaints would be that the rooms are just small units off a long hallway w/out windows, and the walls are rather thin so you can hear the people next to you. However, we enjoyed our stay here. It was a social hostel, if you like that sort of thing. Head upstairs in the evening and meet some backpackers and the staff (who you'll hang out with). Good enough.

Found it difficult to find based on the directions given after booking, particularly because in Chinatown there seems to be a seven-eleven, flowers shop and Maybank on every other block. I spent a lot of time wandering in Chinatown, when really Matahari is on the outside boarder. The location is good though, and noise from the street is minimal. The staff were helpful with bookings to Taman Negara and there was lots of info posted. Rooms were basic and not sound proof, use earplugs!

I stayed for two nights and really enjoyed myself. Great location as it is so close to Chinatown and Little India so its easy to just walk to these places. The staff were really good and friendly and the common area is set up so its easy to talk to other guests. Their WIFI is very good and there is two computers for those who need to use them. My bedroom was a a single private room. which was very clean and quiet. and i had a good sleep in a comfortable bed. The Lodge has good airconditoning.

Great hostel with a great atmosphere. It is directly next to Pasar Seni train station. Also Central Market and China Town are 3 minutes walk away. I highly recommend this hostel.

I only spent a night in the hostel. It was value for money, with clean albeit very basic room (mine had no window). The staff was friendly and she helped me arrange transportation with public bus from KL Sentral to LCCT the next morning.

The location was AMAZING! But don't sell it as a "10 minute walk from the subway" it's 30 seconds! The breakfast in the morning was a plus too.

Well this hostel was definitely a disappointment. When looking at the pictures we expected a nice and clean place. What we found was different. We were definitely not expecting anything special, but at least a hostel should change and wash blanketts and pillows for new guests! That's a must! And yes, the room had no window, no fan, no ac... We hardly could sleep. Besides this, the staff is really nice and helps you out! The only positive point I guess.

the staff were friendly, the location is very strategic, pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately the wifi should advance to the 3rd floor. Very comfortable to be here :)
