My wife and I only had a 22 hour layover in Hong Kong. The New Peking Guesthouse was a perfect spot to grab a few hours of shut eye and a shower before exploring the city and heading back to the airport.

Bit noisy sometimes, no windows, shady people in the building but nice price and friendly staff.

Accommodation is at a premium in HK and the New Peking Guest House I had everything I needed, albeit in a very small space, which for me was perfect, bed, shower, toilet, sink, fan, ac,the bed was very narrow so not suitable for a large person, for me it was fine, tv, clean bed linen and a towel provided. Very competitively priced, room serviced each day. Could be off putting entering from the street as lots of approaches made by touts of one kind and another, the secret is to ignore them.

Very neat! Pleasant service. Hard to have more convenient location. You can skip the elevator by taking stairs. Recommend !

Although this hostel is located in Chungking Mansions, which is a so-so location, entering this hostel was like entering a different world. Run by a kindly elderly Chinese couple, the rooms - though small - are kept fastidiously clean, with clean sheets and towels being provided daily if required. It is also very quiet and appeared quite safe. We had no problems at all and enjoyed our stay. All in all, New Peking Guest House delivers top value for your money if you're traveling on a budget.

The main strength is the price, Peter (owner), and central location. Peter is genuinely kind and made me feel at home immediately. You can't beat the price for central Hong Kong near a subway/MRT station. Please understand that guest houses are not hotels regarding amenities (extremely basic, not fancy, and tiny room). Please bring your own pillowcase and sheet to cover the bed because there were stains on mine.

cosy place in TST. tiny room but that is fine. not a backpackers style hostel but a good place to sleep.

Very small room, compensated my nice , helpful staff and clean modern facillities
