Good hostel but I think we were lucky to get an upgrade somehow as we had an apartment over looking the beach. The main person that was meant to look after us was never to be found. He also tried to say that the 10 percent booking fee online went to the site and not him so he still wanted the full price. When I spoke to other guests about this they said he also tried with them too.

Thanks for taking the time to reply! Our Oceanside apartment does overlook the beach? I think it's a little impractical to expect Momo to be waiting for you 24/7. Unless of course it's a 5 star hotel and you pay for a butler! Contact phone numbers and other points of contacts are available. IHostelworld takes a 10% booking/service fee (it's a business too and has to make money somehow!) The amount Momo asked you for, had already had the 10% fee deducted. What you, and the other guests you mention, had done was ask for a further 10% discount. The Reservation Manger puts into the diary the total amount payable to OceanSurfHouse when a guest arrives. Momo reads this off direct so as to save confusion. So to reiterate Momo did not try and rip you off, you asked for an additional discount on your rate when it had already been removed. It's a shame you wrote negative comments about Momo.

We were put in a separate place as we got double booked which was fine. The apartment was very secure and right on the beach which was really sweet. Momo is great and very helpful.

The hostel was great. Unfortunately our apartment was quite dirty. This wasn't a real problem but it might deter some other future guests. Only real problem we found was Atlantis Surf Shop that I believe is closely affiliated with Ocean Surf House. Instead of the 80 Dirham we had to pay 100 Dirham for boards. Also after breaking a very old board after 1 day I had to pay all reparation costs. Also we then got screwed over by the taxi driver that very rudely wanted 200 Dirham. Not as agreed.

Thanks for your comment, we are glad you enjoyed your stay at OceanSurfHouse. We are friends with Atlantis Surf Shop but we are not the same business, so we cannot control their prices. However they usually charge 120dh per day in peak season. With regards to the taxi driver, you had, unfortunately we cannot control the prices (nor the manners!) of everything(everyone) in Morocco and we are sorry to hear you had a problem. We have taken your comments on board regarding the apartment and will no longer be using this apartment. In recent months there has been some changes for the worse around that building.
