The old mansion is beautiful and very well situated, the staff is nice and helpful, however be careful with the room number 1 (just above the street and next to a reggae bar): very VERY noisy!

Was a great hostel to meet other travelers. No windows in the dorm room, but the common areas made up for it.

Clean homestay with selfservice but that is no problem. A little bit noisy because of the wooden floors. Love lane is nice.

Nice hostel, fabulous location, right by Chulia St. Easy to find from the bus stop. Nice enough staff, but a bit lacking in atmosphere. Breakfast was average and the cleanliness was good. Cheap option with no frills.

Great location. I spend 3 days here cause it's very convenient to find any place you intreasted just a walk can be! Just one thing that pity. There's no shampoo or soap in the shower room that means you must prepare them by yourself

I highly recommend this guesthouse. Rooms were spotless and comfortable. Free breakfast was good value. The walls are quite thin so it's not the quietest at night so bring earplugs. Also there was no window in our room and the lights weren't very strong so it was always very dark. Overall though, this was a really nice guesthouse and I would stay here again.

My four-night stay was amazing thanks to the staff at the desk during the day shift (an extremely nice and helpful lady from India) and night shift staff (a nice gentleman from India)! I definitely would stay here again on my next visit to Penang!

It's a good place with excellent, very friendly staff. The building is so beautiful! But single room on the first floor is 2x2 m. Honestly, in SEA you are usually waiting for a little bit more space on this price :)

The WiFi is sometimes a little wonky otherwise a nice stay with nice staff. Mixed dorm doesn't have any windows though, but aircon and fresh air vent.

Lovely place, have stayed at their sister hostel The 80's guesthouse before and now much prefer here. Perfect location. Most mornings there was fruit (watermelon and papaya) as well as toast. Really helpful staff. We stayed over a week and were sad to leave.
