The staff are very friendly the hostel is in a great location. The building is amazing. Only moan is the twelve bed dorm has no real ventilation and does not get chance to air during the day. Overall I'm satisfied with my stay at Old Penang Guesthouse. However, I believe the bed that I use has bed bugs. The reason is because I have rashes all over my body soon after I left Old Penang. I strongly believe it's the bed because I over heard someone had the same problem. I have rashes before and due to unclean sheets or bed bugs. I don't think it's the unclean sheets because they change sheets every day.
