Red Inn Court in Penang offers a fantastic location, perfect for exploring the city's heritage sites and street food. Guests appreciate the comfortable beds and good air conditioning. While some find it not very social, it's a great base for solo travellers and those seeking a convenient stay.

Great location opposite Kuan Yin Temple on Kapitan Keling, though that means quite a lot of road noise, especially for the private rooms - the dormitories are actually very quiet. Free breakfast, though starts a bit late (8.30). Staff can be a bit variable - some pleasant, others gruff and moody.

A little run-down and in need of renovation. But the plus side is that guests are a mix of older travelers and I had the chance to meet very interesting people.
