The hostel was very basic, but great. The breakfast was the best I have ever had in a hostel. There were lockers for everybody at reception and the host was very helpful with everything and did really everthing to make us feel comfortable. The rooms were cleaned every day and towels included.

Kristin the owner was amazing, she helped us with everything we needed. There is great dinner at the hostel which she makes herself. Recommended

Bed was broken, and room smelt dank and mouldy. Felt like we were being babied every time we used the kitchen, which was irritating. Breakfast is good, and the location is quite decent also. Not a terrible stay overall but pretty basic.

First of all they charged 7% more than the agreed price just for paying with Visa, this is totally illegal, out of the policy of usage of Visa besides totally a rip off for the customers. the common areas are very damp and dusty, the garden isnot being taking care of, and the overall building and rooms would need a serious paint. the kitchen can only be used for 3 hours at dinner time. one a positive note, a cheap dinner option that i didnt try but look decent.choose another hostel if you can.

The room was damp and we couldn´t open the window cos there was no insect screen. I really enjoyed this hostel though. The manager was amazing and such a good cook..we ate her dinner every night! The hostel has a nice vibe; it´s just the right size to have a relaxed stay meeting new people.

+ Good place to meet new people. Very relaxed atmosphere. The "hostel mama" was taking good care of everyone. You get a fresh towel every day. - My room was a quite damp, so nothing dries. (they should have moskito netting on the window, so you can at least open it).

Christina, the lady who runs the hostel is a lovely careful lady who cooks very good meals every night! Rooms were nice and clean. Location is a bit out of the center, but still near the beach and trails. Rooms were a bit noisy sometimes.

Without being the nicest hostel you will stay in. The staff and the relaxed atmosphere more than make up for it. Kristina will look after you like you are family. Her food is really good and she will help you out what ever way she can.

Very pleasant hostel...located less than 5 min walk from the ferry and main town...clean and welcoming. Staff is friendly and Christina, the manager, is a fine cook - her 13 reais dinner is probably the best deal on the island (just arrive on time because the food goes quickly). There's one computer with internet that runs reasonably quickly, comfortable lounging area, book swap, lockers, the works, etc. Good mix of international and brazilian travelers. I would definitely stay here again.

I really liked this place. The owner is slightly eccentric but a lot of fun and the common area is large and sociable. The rooms are cleaned every day and the breakfast is delicious. My only concern was security as the rooms are easily accessible from outside, windows are always open and the lockers were incredibly shabby/ But, very good value for money and I would definitely come again.

Very good and cosy hostel. The cooked meals were absolutely a big plus! And remember to take cash because the card machine didnt accept international cards and you cant take it out on the island.
