As we visited in the low season, character and atmosphere weren't probably as apparent as they are at other times. The owner was helpful and let us check-out at afternoon for our ferry, which was nice. The lady who is doing the breakfast etc is just lovely! Internet is available but slow, though this is probably a limitation (or feature) of staying on such an island. The location is nice as it is just close enough to the main center but still quiet. Overall we can def. recommend staying here!

We were unlucky because our bathroom was turned into a pool when we showered because there was sand in the drain. The water spread into the room where we were sleeping and even our bed got wet. But fortunately the staff was very quick to give us another room.

This place is disgusting.the room had mold, bugs and it was very dirty. The air conditioning was broken.the bathroom's door had a big hole. After all those inconvenients the owner asked me to pay the whole amount,of the money even if i paid 10%when i booked the room.it was a nightmare.

The dank, musty smell in our room was pretty overpowering and they could work on the curb appeal.

Bathroom inside the dorms Breakfast is huge and fulfilling Wifi works quite well all around the hostel Location is a bit more far than the other pousadas but still 5/10 min from main roads Unfortunately when it rains loads the whole place is flooded so be careful with your belongings!!! Good experience overall

there are a few things quite nice, as the location for example. but some of the staff (the women) are actually not friendly or helpful at all. the boys at the reception are friendly. some rooms are really humid and full of melt on the wall. some rooms are like *ok*. but ilha grande is fantastic! and we met lots of nice ppl at the hostel.

Nice Hostel but it depends which room you get. The Doublebed Rooms are very good (with balcony), but the twin rooms are dark and a bit small. The Hostel is good located and the breakfast is nice. All in all we would recommend this hostel!

The hostel was nice and quiet and the stuff very welcoming. The dorms were really nice for couple of people and own bathrooms. The breakfast was excellent and overall the hostel was pretty clean and cheap. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to relax for couple days in Ilha Grande.

We liked our room, which included a small fridge and balcony. location was good. The only downside was that there was no wifi most of the time we were there and only one very slow pc to share between guests. Staff were friendly and helpful, but had no map of the island, which would have been useful. No hot water in the shower, and not the best pressure, but not a problem as the weather was hot, but if that is a key requirement it may not be the best choice, otherwise it is great

Clean hostel with good security; Although the staff wasnt good.Specially the fact that youre only allowed to use the kitvhec between 17-22. That felt really silly. nd the women working there was really ruse.

It was very expensive for what we got, we actually got an awesome pousada with AC and flat screen TV for a lot less than they charged us! and the room was very nasty, the walls were full of fungi and all the pillows smelled horrible. Breakfast was ok though and the night guy was friendly and helpful.

Muggy, slight smell of mould in the rooms that sticked to my clothes for the rest of my trip. Little choice in breakfast without any variation.

Good location and friendly guy who checks us in. The woman comes across rude though. She does not like people using 'her' kitchen dispite it being there for comunal use. Wifi hardly works but the computer they provide does. Clean hostel.

The breakfast was really good! :-) due to the fact that both nights there was no electricity due to the heavy rain, the fan was not working which made it not very pleasant to sleep in the hot room while being eaten by mosquitos but I guess there is nothing the staff can do about this?
