The hostel was ok but a bit dark and pokey. The bedding didnt seem like it was very clean! Breakfast was good, but dinners very salty! I didnt think the staff were that friendly.

I think the hostel is amazing, me and my friend have traveled all around South America and considering Brazil was meant to be the most expensive place, we only paid around 5pounds a night in Overnativa and we got value for money! Christina the manager was more the welcoming and the owner and his son made us feel right at home! They let our friends from other hostels come and chill, drink and cook! The breakie is lovely, kitchen is homely and atmosphere is perfect!!

We had a double private room with own bathroom and balcony, it was awesome! Very clean and nice to get a towel aswell when your own is all sandy cause you had it on the beach the whole day. The dinner that Christina made was excellent, a pity that she didn´t do more than once during our three night visit. Breakfast was included which was great, some bread, serials, fruit, coffee , tea and juice. Very good! Only minus was the internet that did not work during our stay, but it was okay for us.

We stayed here 4 nights and enjoyed every minute. Above all we have to mention the wonderful treatment we got from the owner Christina. We landed in Brazil without our luggage after 20 hours of flight and as the luggage only arrived the next day Christina kindly treated us to complementary dinner! Overall the rooms are great and cleaned every day, Christina also prepares an all you can eat dinner for 12 reals and we enjoyed every bite. Great place to meet other travelers. Thanks Christina!

Lovely Hostel. Cristina makes a yummy breakfast which is inclulded and she cooks up a storm for dinner at a really decent price. The staff are friendly, warm and helpful ( Hello black sheep). I liked the hang out areas they were cozy and easy to relax in. Not a party hostel but can find a party near by at any time, so much better for a good night´s sleep. Hot showers and hostel is a good price. Highly recommend!

This is by far my favourite hostel ever!! Im new to travelling and was nervous about staying in hostels and how I was going to cope.....I needn't have worried after getting here! The lady running it Christina welcomed us with open arms, took straight to our room, hot shower available, and then her home made cooking waiting.....WOW!!!! She looked after us everyday and couldn't do enough for us. We stayed 6 nights in end! I cried when we left her! :( definitely recommend here...I miss it! X

Brilliant hostel. Awsome host she treated us so well. Put on a buffet at night which was dirt cheap. Very clean and a nice place to stay in a good location.

AMAMZING! We really loved our stay here. Rooms were nice and clean and the location is good. But the staff is what makes it such a homely place. Cristina cooks a lovely dinner, has good tips about the surroundings (Sergio too) and the breakfast makes you wanna wake up early. And the room price is really a bargain. Give this place a go, you´ll feel right at home.

Overnativa Green was a nice, quiet place to stay and good for the price and is located very close to the port where the ferries/catamarans arrive. Sergio was very helpful during our stay and gave us a lot of tips on where to go during the day and night. It was also very nice that the staff provided us with a free towel. Our only complaint was that all the pillows in our room smelled bad.

The hostel was really nice and in a great location. Generally very good value for money. The bed was a bit horrible, had a double room and it was just 3 matresses piled up so could not air at all so room smelt damp, but bathroom and communal areas were kept clean. the breakfast was excellent (had cereal) and the staff were nice, we did notice an increase in work rate when the lady owner returned from a trip to Rio on our last day, she also cooked a cheap feast!

The staff were really friendly, we were met off the boat and walked back to the hostel, 5 minutes away. We had a double room with ensuite for an amazing price, the room was cleaned really well every day and we got fresh towels. It was the best breakfast we´ve had so far. Location is perfect, couple of minutes walk from the beach and the main part of the village. Would definitley recommend going to Ilha Grande..its like paradise! Lopes Mendes is a must, you can walk (2 hours) or get a boat.

This is one of the best hostel where we ever been... We got a 3bed room so we could pack easily, we had hot shower, close to the "city", nice atmosphere etc! The stuff is very helpfull, they also picked us up in the port what was a suprise! The breakfast was very nice with fruits, ham, coffee and so on and the dinner for 12reals was awsome! Thanks a lot... Best price/value ratio!

One of the best hostels of my trip so far (8 months and counting...) Just an amazing place! Run by master chef Christina who cooks up a bargain Brazilian storm every night and serves the yummiest breakfasts every morning - and breakfast is included in the bargainous dorm price! Cannot speak highly enough of this place. Beautiful location, sparkling clean, friendly helpful staff and amazing value for money. Stay here - it rocks!
