Great location, and it is pretty safe. Sadly the common area closes at 10 pm. Staff is great during the day, but the once who work nights are either high or retarded. All in all it is OK place.

We enjoyed our stay, the location was perfect, people and staff nice, it was loud at night (neighborhood), the breakfast was more like a joke, internet access really bad, the kitchen equipment also. But if you stay there just for the night, it´s okay and you reach everything important (beach, bus, etc).

Rooms are good , clean and convenient. But the kitchen is very bad , poorly equipped. Staff and security are good enough, good quality/price

You can't beat the location of this hostel. The best part of Waikiki is just down the block! BUT it's still very much in an alley which is bombarded with garbage trucks at 6am, pretty much everyday. I'd say the female staff were very professional and helpful. However, upon our arrival/check-in, some of the male "staff" hanging out behind the desk seemed stoned off their heads. Also, if you don't mark your beer (or frozen veggies?!) with your name etc., within 5 minutes they will be gone :(

Ridiculous that I was charged a nights fee when I tried calling multiple times to cancel but no answer. An answering machine might be handy so those who's plans changed wont get charged for no reason

The bathrooms and truly disgusting. Taking time to clean them, fix the water pressure, leaks, etc. would help a great deal.

My sister and I loved this hostel. It was in the perfect location. Walking distance from the beach, tons of restaurants, bus stops, etc. It has great character. The staff goes out of their way to plan day trips for guests for a modest price. One of my favorite days of our trip was the hostels visit to the North Shore. We would come back again for sure!

Better than expected. We were happy with our Double-room. Very near to the beach and bus-stops and shops... Can be recommended for low budget travelers.

We've stayed in many hostels around the Globe and this was the worst ever. Staff was very unprofessional. The rooms were extremely dirty and very noisy from the streets. The kitchen was not very well equipped, so that there were never enough bowls or forks when you needed them. The common area/ kitchen did not have any atmosphere; it was freezing due to the wind that blew through it (was open on both sides). Weired people stayed there, many of them above age 40/ 50, drinking and smelly...

almost no fork, not enough cooking facilities/fridges for the number of people. Bathroom need a serious scratchy cleaning. No events on evenings organized and staff does not have informations about it. still a good place but need (not so difficult to do) improvements

The location of this place is awesome, but the staff are a little retarded. Ask them all the same question and you will get a different answer from them all. Also on two occasions we had our food thrown out despite it being properly labelled. As I have sever food allergies this was very bad! I asked to make a formal complaint to the manager. The desk staff took my details but the manager never contacted me. All in all - great location but poor customer service.

The location is excellent, close to everything in Waikiki and with a bus stop next to go in places more distant. The communal area is weak and small, next of the garage. The semi private room is inside of the community dorm, so is necessary to enter into this dorm to acess the semi-private room.

Nice hostel, very close to waikiki beach. We had an excellent time, specially with the really nice hostel staff. We highly recommend the offered island tours, which are an excellent way to explore the island even with a limited budget. Facilities and rooms are old and not really clean.
