Great, friendly and engaging staff who are always happy to help. Big kitchen and nice rooms. Some of the extras are a bit expensive but all in all its a good hostel.
I think the bunkbeds are deigned for toddlers, the ladders are ritchey and so are the beds themselves. The mattresses are comparable to gymnastic mats and the sheets don't even stay on. The bathrooms smelled, I'm sure due to the cities poor sewage system but nonetheless the smell would waft into our room. The staff was great, filled with a bunch of newbies but they really made the experience worthwhile if anything else. Alcohol isn't permitted inside the hostel and you can't drink on the terrace
The Purple Nest was a great stay- good location close to restaurants and shops, helpful and friendly staff, heaps of ways to meet others and explore the city, and good beds with plenty of space for your gear.
The staff was not very helpful, one of my friends was looking to book another night in Valencia and they were rude and would not help her much. Other then that it was a good hostel. Clean, good WiFi, had a bar in the common area.
I had a great time at Purple Nest. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the hostel is just a few minutes from a lot of great sight-seeing spots. They have a good common room area and bar that's nice for meeting people. Overall good stay.
