Centrally located next to Turia Gardens, The River Hostel is 5 minutes walk from Valencia Cathedral and Alameda Metro Station, which has direct airport trains. There is 24-hour reception, free Wi-Fi, free parking nearby and free luggage room.

Accommodation is in shared dormitories or private rooms, all with shared bathroom facilities separated for males and females. All rooms have air conditioning and heating, and most of them have a balcony. Bed linen is provided free of charge. Towels are available against a refundable deposit.A 5-euro deposit for the room key is required (paid by card and fully refunded at check-out).

There are vending machines for drinks and guests can have breakfast in the onsite cafe. The hostel also has a games room and lounge and guests can make use of the shared kitchen for free.

You can hire a bicycle directly at reception, but we dont have a parking for bikes.

Transfers to the airport, train or bus stations are available for an extra charge.

Staff were great. Curtains on beds were not clean and should be cleaned regularly so this was disappointing. Showers on top floor were covered in mildew and mold and the room had a very musty unpleasant smell. Black grout between tiles makes it harder to see but it’s definitely there and it’s clear showers aren’t thoroughly cleaned. Kitchen facilities were fantastic! Common spaces also great :)

Hostel was super nice and the daytime staff where super nice. However, the staff at night refused to do there job and would threaten us with violence when asking for a glass of water ect, during the night time. This really tainted my view on the hostel as a whole because everything else was 10/10.

Overall, a wonderful hostel to stay in for my first time being in a hostel. My only gripe would be the temperature of the dorms - mine was stuck at 24, which was a bit too warm. However, this was a great experience overall!
