Cantagua Hostel

Cantagua is a home for travelers looking for a happy and cozy place to feel 'en casa'.  A place to MEET & share with others and be part of our family. We provide a home for those seeking new people, new culture, new experiences. We are an eco-friendly hostel with mixed dorms as well as a girls only dorm. Each bunk bed comes with a curtain for guests looking to have some privacy while sharing the with other travelers.

Valencia is a city where the Turia River meets the Mediterranean Sea. Cantagua is neighbors to Ruzzafa, known as 'the heart of the youth' in Valencia. This pocket of the city is vibrant and creative, full of coffee bars, delicious local food, authentic live music, boutique shops and much more. A short walk away is the Historical City Center, Turia; a picturesque sunken park and the futuristic City of Arts and Sciences.
   
We have 4 mixed rooms with cozy bunk-beds for you to you have some privacy while sharing the with other travelers.  We offer free wifi, free linen, shared kitchen, laundry service, library, bag storage room and friendly staff that will help you enjoy your stay in Valencia.

Cantagua Hostel Policies and Conditions:

Cancellation policy: Cancelation is free if you cancel 72 hrs or more before the day of arrival (if you arrive a Friday you have until Tuesday at 12:00 pm to cancel without penalty), otherwise you will be charged 100% (no-shows are also charged 100%)

If the guest is planning to arrive after the day scheduled for check-in, it is essential to give notice to Cantagua Hostel (before 8:00 am of the following morning) in order to keep your reservation. Otherwise, the general terms of 'No show ' will apply and the guest will be charged the full amount, nil refund will be given.

Check in from 14:00 to 21:00 .
Check out before 11:00 .

Continental Breakfast at an additional cost (4 Euros): Bread, jelly, butter, olive oil, natural Spanish tomato, cereals, milk, orange juice, cocoa, coffee, and tea.
We also offer Mexican coffee for a small extra price.

General:

The reception service is open from 09.00 to 21.00
No curfew.
Non smoking.
We can not accept reservations from guests under 18 years old.
The maximum period of stay is 20 days.

Check in is available from 2:00 pm until 9 pm. However, if you are running late, we will send you an email with all the necessary information for a late check-in.
Check out time is before 11 am. After check out you can leave your belongings and luggage in a secured area until your departure from Valencia.

The rooms are not available for private bookings. Every room is shared with each bed being reserved individually. However, we will try to accommodate group or couple bookings. Please, inform our team ahead of arrival.

Modifications and changes to reservations can be made free of charge if notice is given 48 hours prior to the day of arrival. This includes date changes, with exemption of difference in costs over peak periods.

Cantagua Rules

All travelers are welcome in Cantagua. In order to ensure a healthy space, we respectfully ask all visitors to take in mind the following guidelines during your stay:

Cantagua is a smoke-free hostel. Due to the hostel being all indoors, including communal areas.

We understand the joy and excitement of experiencing Valencia to its fullest. We have knowledge and great advice for those who want to party and explore the local night life. Nevertheless, we remind you that Cantagua is a friendly space and most importantly a place to enjoy. Events will be held throughout the week in the common area.

Quiet hours in dorms are after 10 pm and the common area´s close after 11.30 pm. But parties are strictly forbidden.

You are more than welcome to bring and consume your own alcohol. Each traveller is responsible for their own consumption of alcohol. Drinking in the rooms is not allowed, and staff members have the right to request any guest to stop consuming alcohol.

Cantagua is a hostel, this means every room is shared. Which is why we sincerely ask you to keep your space clean and ordered at all time. We also ask to respect all the furniture and to maintain an harmonic tone during your stay.

Comfort and privacy of our guests is very important for us. At the respect for other guests and for our establishment, only guests will be allowed in the establishment after 11.30 pm.

Each reservation is for one single bed per person. It is a requirement that each guest sleeps in their allocated bed. If at any point during your stay another person is found in your bed, a fine of 50 euros cash will be issued. If this conduct remains, the reservation will be canceled and the guest will be politely asked to leave the establishment.

Sexual relations, drug use, abuse, aggressive behaviour or similar conduct is strictly forbidden in any part of the hostel. If at any point a guest engages in these actions, they will be immediately escorted off the premises and their reservation cancelled with nil refund.

We want our guests to have a warm and cozy experience. These rules provide the basis of a friendly environment and allow each guest to enjoy their stay in harmony. We hope to see you soon.
