The standard of this Hotel is very nice and the location is good too. Though it presents itself as a Backpackers Hostel while location and standard wise, I would say that it is aimed for very bourgeois backpackers. It is quite far away from Changat which is the party palce in KL.
Hostel is in a great location, close to the metro and interesting places within walking distance. The beds in the dorm are excellent, offer great privacy and have big lockers underneath. The free breakfast was OK, changes daily. The WiFi was quite slow at times as well.
my 3rd time staying at Reggae and i can say their breakfast spread have improved from just bread n spreads to bread n spread and 3 more other sides(potato, eggs, noodles, etc). Was a delight.

Well.. what can ya say about the Reggae Mansion?! My girlfriend and I had an amazing time there in Kuala Lumpur. Met some awesome people. Stayed in the 24 bed dorm which was big but gave ya the chance to speak to lots of people.. the rooftop bar as ever a great social place to just talk to people with a nice view of the towers lit up at night. . Before the mad owner Robert Reggae comes out.. staff were very friendly and helpful. Was more like a little backpackers fancy hotel
A very well run hostel, which is good value for money.
Excellent hostel. Would definitely stay there again. Loved the pod style beds and the big locker below that easily fit my backpack. Location is great and very near to most major KL sights and to Masjid Jamek LRT station. The only downs were the absolutely unfriendly staff when I wanted to check out (everyone else was great and very helpful) and the small number of toilets and showers.
Best hostel I have ever stayed in I think.
Nice private space, plenty bathroomfacilities, great place to spend a few nights

We had a fantastic time- the beds were huge and gave privacy in the dorms. The city tour was great- the guide was hilarious as well as being knowledgeable! The only negative was there could have been more bathrooms as sometimes we had to wait.
2nd stay here(1st was 2 years ago), the facilities has been kept in good shape. Everything, including having lunch at the restaurant, is good:)
I stayed here in Sept 13', it is a top notch hostel. The six bed dorm was great and had plugs in every pod. Very clean and the bar was a good time.
I love Reggae Mansion and I think I'd be going back there again. It is very tourist friendly and the staffs are just helpful. It's near the Chinatown and the LRT so it is very accessible.
Wonderful choice to stay. But it's too exciting to climb up to my bed! Just like an adventure as you reach your bed, you found out a comfortable place for your own to sleep and keep private. Anyway, really enjoy my two days there!
Location is perfect. But Reoom is tiny and narrow.
Fun, cool architecture, social, active. Great for a long weekend getaway to KL! And the hot breakfast was one of the better hostel breakfasts I've had in Asia. I appreciate that they changed the offerings daily. The firefly tour was inexplicably expensive but we had a good time anyway and the staff were friendly considering the size of the hostel.
Very welcoming staff, clean room and toilets! I felt a little bit unsafe in the area, plain breakfast and the wifi was slow :(
Incredible hostel! The staff very kind and helpfull and the place very comfortable and nice!!
there is loud party music on the roof almost every night, so watch out if you are a light sleeper...
