Its a very nice hostel! Altough i could barly sleep the first night because they had a party in the hostel. Other than that, nice place with "boxes" to sleep in, so you have your own privacy! I also liked that they have a lot of relaxing areas like the sofas near the entry, the balcony upstairs or the a/c room with sofas, computers and a tv. All In all i would definitely recommend to stay there:)

the concept of the bunk beds was very new to me, they were like a small tiny room for yourself separated by a curtain with your own light and even mirror and tiny table, i really liked that, gave you some privacy in the dorm. the house was an old but charming one, well preserved and maintained. the staff was okay. this is definitely a party place if you love to make friends and hang out with them until late then this is definitely the right place for you.

Overall, I'll give it an 8.5/10. There's juz a few things that in my opinions, should be improved: the wifi is kinda weak n once u go up 2 ur dorm, u'd hardly be able 2 access 2 wifi. The water 4 showering can't really be heat up, it'll juz remain warm. The staffs were helpful but a bit slow at times. But yea, that's pretty much about it thou. The plc still deserves gud rating!

All in all great value for money - all the things you want in a hostel, comfortable bed, social interaction and a laid back atmosphere -- I'd definitely stay here again next time I return to Penang. The staff are 50-50 - some were amazing, some were just doing their job Only downside is that myself and another person in the room had foreign currency taken from our bags during the evening - our own fault I admit, but like anywhere, just remember to use the lockers and bring your own lock.

Thanks to kind and perfect staffs, I was really happy there. And I think everybody loves the large 2nd terrace. (If there is a fan, it will be fantastic.)

The facilities (lounge, bathrooms etc) are good. They also serve good breakfast. The receptionists were very rude, they kept making faces every time I asked them anything. There are no lockers in the rooms, I had my credit card stolen during my stay and another girl in my room had quite a lot of cash stolen too. There was a bunch of creepy old local men bothering us at the bar downstairs. I met other people who had better time at that hostel, but I'd never stay there again!

This is a great hostel with one of the friendliest and caring owners I've met. I enjoyed meeting other people here. The bathrooms were good with proper hot showers, so nice after lukewarm ones for ages. The music is loud here until very late but I was surprised to find myself actually enjoying that. Breakfast is great, eggs in a different way every morning.

Brilliant hostel with great location in George Town for sight seeing, friendly relaxed atmosphere and warm welcoming staff. Breakfast was pretty good too. Would stay again.

A bit loud, but hey Reggae is a party hostel. The facilities aren't as great as the mansion in KL but then again it was much cheaper than the one KL. The breakfast was nice and the pods are the same as they are in KL. Good value for the money, I would stay there again.

Loved my stay in this Hostel, easy to meet people, easy to go around Penang from there, staff is nice and helpful, big comfy beds, very clean facilities. Price is OK for what they offer. Bar was not really lively when I was there but I guess it depends on what you do.

Quality hostel. Everything was great except the wifi didn't work the entire time we were there. If that's fixed then no complaints. Also it's not exactly a party hostel. They play loud club music but everyone just sits outside and relaxes at night.

Some cameras got stolen in the dorm next to us. Offers in the bar are a bit misleading. Not up to par with the reggaemansion in KL

Internet was pretty hit or miss. The bar downstairs is a great place to chill as well as the common room upstairs with the television and dvd player. Rooms are nice and toilets are clean. One girl had her camera stolen when i was there so keep an eye on your belongings.
