So magical. Thank you for an amazing experience. I wish other hostels were like Resedencia en el Cerro.

A fantastic hostel in a great location. It is not a nice new building but had a lot of character and wonderful rooms!

The bed was the coziest, most comfortable hostel beds I've ever slept in. Wifi is fast and reaches all areas. TV in the rooms w/ tons of channels. Decent breakfast w/ eggs. Fantastic location. My main issue is that the hostel felt a bit eerie. Very quiet, not much movement. The owner lives here and has family over often, so it almost felt like an intrusion on their home. No 24 hr desk person to assist you. Only 1 shower, so often had to wait in line for it. Great shower head/pressure though.

Lovely hostel with lots of character. The man in charge is a perfect easygoing gentleman. Breakfast is very good with scrambled eggs. Rooms are large and the public area is vast with lots of comfortable chairs. The setting is very unique - its at the end of a walkway with overhanging flowers and trees - very serene and sometimes lovely music wafts from the building next door which may be a music academia. Good restaurants in the immediate area. This is one hostel I recommend.

We booked at the last minute (5 mins before getting on a bus to vina) and were a little nervous due to the lack of reviews on Hostelworld, but Residencia en el Cerro was fantastic, our hosts were friendly and provided a great breakfast every morning, the location was great, right on Cerro Concepcion. Closer to a B&B than a Hostel, I highly recommend Residencia en el Cerro (unless you're looking for a party atmosphere, you won't find it here!)

Very warm hostel, staff is great, very kind and helpful and location is perfect. We found a hair in the marmalade and the overall cleanliness could be improved a little bit more but is a great place to stay :)

I really enjoyed the stay in this hostel. It is quiet, clean and welcoming. The house itself is worth visiting as it reflects the character of typical local architecture and has excellent location on the hill overlooking the port. The only missing thing for me was a couple of chairs in the front garden allowing for reading while drinking morning real (yes!) coffee surrounded by quiet and colourful neighbourhood. Marta
