Good ballance between price and quality and convenient location near the train station. The atmosphere is a bit decadent latest 70s and doesn't have the charm of other Ryokans. We will define the place as correct.

Even though it is advertised as a ryokan, it is very bleak and lacks character. The room is expencive, but dull. The staff wasn't very friendly and didn't say thank you not even once. I think it's a waste of money. There are much more lively and bright places to stay in Kyoto for much less money.

Our room came with a tap and basin (no toilet or shower unfortunately), cupboard for our clothes, fresh cotton kimono robes (provided everyday), Futons were laid out at night and packed away in the morning while we were out sightseeing, the staff were helpful and attentive with all questions we had. The best part is it is less than a five minute walk to the bus station, where you can get a bus to all temples, shrines and popular areas in Kyoto! Overall we had a very pleasant stay here!

Fantastic position so close to the station. The lady does speak some English and tries hard to help travellers.

i was only in kyoto for 2 days, so it was a great location by the station and all the buses. the staff was friendly and accommodating, letting me drop my bags off hours before checkin. i had a private room with a floor bed- ok for a few nights but not much longer than that.
