It's really cold in Cusco, so we appreciated the hot water! It's a bit far out of the way up a hill, but you get to walk through cute cobbled streets so that makes it a little better. We did wish the room had a heater! The staff were very helpful and friendly

I strongly recommend this hostel, we was received like kings, the staff always offered some breakfast to have doesn't matter what time it was, and the "mate de coca" (really helpful for the very common altitude sickness) is always present. Hope to meet you in the near future! Kisses!

We booked a double bed room which was on the second floor. Our room had an amazing view over Cusco which was great to wake up to each morning. They give you a thermos of hot water each day which is great to make tea in your rooms each day. This hostel probably had the fastest WIFI out of all the hostels we went to in South America. It is a bit of a walk up the hill to get to the hostel but its good exercise after eating out every night. Highly recommend this hostel.

We had a fabulous stay at Samay Wasi both before and after completing the Inca Trail. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff were helpful, friendly and attentive. It's a bit of a trek up the hill to San Blas, but if you're planning on doing the Inca Trail, believe me, it's nothing. Besides, it could be considered good training. The Hostel was quiet enough to get plenty of rest, but close enough (5 mins) to the main square to be able to go and get some nightlife as and when you wish. Ace

We moved from a superior room to a standard and what a difference! No heater and an awful lumpy bed! If you are booking to stay here the superior room is the one to get as you get the views and the better bed and a must have heater.

My wife and I stayed in the deluxe double room for 2 nights. It was spot on. Fabulous views, TV with a good range of channels including a few in english, en suite facilities with a reasonable shower, plenty of hot water and a selection of teas in the room, which was a nice touch. The hostel lacked any real atmosphere and the kitchen faciities are a bit below par but overall it was excellent value for money.

This hostel is super cute, in a great location (a few minutes walk to Plaza San Blas) and has an amazing view! The staff is super friendly too. There are only really 2 complaints I have; 1) the rooms are really cold at night and the hostel charges 3 sole for a heater to heat them 2) the matress in the room I was sleeping in had seen better days and perhaps needs to be replaced. Those two points aside I would strongly recommend this hostel!

We were picked up from the bus station and taken to the Hostel by pre arrangement. Unfortunately it was very quiet when we arrived tho' that ended up as a boon as we were both poorly. The staff were lovely and helpful, they often asked us if we needed anything to make us feel better, and provided limitless teas. The views from the balcony of Cuzco are stunning, and the night was very peaceful due to the location. It is up a bit of a hill, hence the views. All in all a nice quiet place.
