Very Nice Place in San Juan, away from the old historic center but in the middle of everything. Francisco was very kind,

Wonderful experience, Francisco is awesome, comfortable rooms with fans for each bed. Good sized and well appointed kitchen, great common area and adjoining patios. Can't wait to return for my next stay!

This hostel has a really familiar atmosphere. Francisco (hostelmanager) is very considerate and helpful and keeps in personal concact with all of his hostel guests during their stays. The location of this hostel is pretty good: bus stations, grocery stores and gas stations are around and easy to find. Only the facilities(bathroom) are a little old. But its a hostel and no luxury hotel ;)

This hostel was nice and home like in style. The manager was very kind and helpful with getting around the city or getting lost trying to find your way back. The location is a few blocks away from public transit and in a colorful neighborhood. The place was relatively clean and manager was accesible 24 hours a day. I would recommend staying there if on a budget in PR.

Francisco was very nice. The hostel is located in a residential location with close access by bus and a 20 minute walk to condado beach. Little expensive but it is about the same price as other hostels in San Juan.

This hostel has a great atmosphere, people were friendly and it was easy to strike up a conversation with complete strangers. It's not the best hostel in terms of facilities and cleanliness, but the people made up for it. There were little things like showers that didn't work and a real small kitchen, however sheets were clean and the rum was plentiful. I would definitely stay here again.

This was great for the price - clean beds, bathrooms, kitchen and a nice living area/terrace with wifi provided. The owner was very friendly, although a little hard to track down. I think the bus stop is nearby - we stayed initially in San Juan and at this hostel later, so we didn't try to get into the old city, but it seemed easy enough. This hostel is only about ten minutes from the Placita of Santurce, which is a wonderful plaza of bars (there's great salsa on Thursday!) and restaurants.

Francisco is very nice and speaks great english. The cleaning woman does not. Every wednesday night there is free pizza and soda for all guests complimentary of Francisco (owner). The location is not that great, but you can take the M3 bus into the city for only 50 cents.

The staff (Fransisco) was great, very friendly and helpful. The facilities were not so great tho - especially the shower, more like dropping water than actually showering.

If you're high maintenance, this may not be the place for you. But if you're laid back and looking for a place to find an adventure with incredible people that are as passionate about travel as you are, you're going to get a lot of bang for your buck. Palace Hostel is beautiful, yet humble. Not in the absolute best part of town, but within 15 min of beaches, Old San Juan, and the airport. It's a community - everyone chips in and has a blast. Josh the manager puts a lot of love into the place.

If you are looking for a place that when you go to sleep you can hear the coqui singing you to sleep. this is the place for you. it\'s very dated but so is most of San Juan and Francisco feels more like and uncle that a proprieter. Very chill, no tv, but 2 netbooks are available for those who need technology.

Francisco is a great Hostel manager......He even came and helped me find the place in crazy San Juan by finding me and having me follow him directly to get there. If your going to be in San Juan I strongly recommend staying here because it is close to Old San Juan without the stress of getting out of Old San Juan which is a horrible place to be driving. The guest room and balcony are great for meeting other travelers!

Francisco was very nice and very helpful. He had so many maps and would let you know where to go an how to get there which was great. I plan on going back to Puerto Rico (hopefully in the near future) and I will definitely stay at the hostel again! Muchas Gracias Francisco!

This little tiny hostel was very warm and welcoming, it feels more like a home and less like an institution. Francisco was extremely helpful with directions and setting us up when we arrived late at night. The weather in PR is so perfect that the covered outdoor patio is like a living room overlooking the street. The hostel is about a 15-20 minute walk from a nice beach, too! The kitchen was a little grubby, but whose isn't? Overall I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting San Juan.

There needs to be parking availability since it is on a very narrow street in Santurce I received a parking ticket leaving this morning....The off street parking is kind of park at your own risk.

I loved my visit to this hostel! I stayed in a different hostel the night before and they had nothin on San Juan Int.. The owner Francisco was very accommodating and understanding, the other people there were awesome too! The rooms were the perfect size, as I had plenty of room to spread out a bit and make my bunk feel like home! Location was good and free pizza on Wednesdays!!! Overall, a wonderful experience!! Thanks Francisco and I will defly recommend to others!
