This is an excellent place to stay that I have visited many times and will continue to visit as long as I am traveling to Beijing. The staff is incredibly friendly and courteous. The location is ideal and leaves much of the city accessible. My room was very clean and offered everything that |I needed. The restaurant offers a warm environment and good food and drinks. Sanlitun hostel was my first stop in China. I didn\'t know what to expect but I was very pleasantly surprised when I check in. The staff were very helpful, they offered lots of tips, they know where the closest shops are and until what time they are open and the room was always in tip top condition. They offer a lot of printed information for travelers. I did struggle a bit with the Chinese PC\'s but after a while I got the hang of it. The hostel is in a very good location, however the facility could be so much better! The restaurant is over priced, and there are many food/beer options very close that are cheap and very yummy! We stayed in room 318, the roommates were awesome, but the room was absolutely discusting and full of mosquitos. The hostel is super cheap, and the showers are nice! They kick you out of the common area at midnight, so it doent have much of an atmosphere. Massage next door was great! Sanlitun hostel has been our favourite in China so far. The staff went out of their way to be as helpful as possible whatever time of day it was. The tours offered were good value and the location is pretty good, only a 10 minute walk to the metro station. Also close to lots of shopping,markets, bars and restaurants. I stayed in a 10-bed dorm which had not been cleaned in weeks. I had to take a broom from the cleaner and clean mouldy fruit from under my bed. The staff are not helpful and I heard from other customers that they would not even let them borrow a knife to butter their bread. The bathrooms were clean, showers hot and if the rooms had been kept clean this would have been a good hostel.I stayed in a 10-bed dorm which had not been cleaned in weeks. Nice place to stay, good size rooms, good food and bar area. Close to metro line so can easily get around Beijing. The staff was great! The hostel was nice, especially for the price. It was in a GREAT location and the nearby subway made getting around super easy. The squished mosquitos on the wall and ceiling were a little gross, but overall we really enjoyed our stay and would stay again if ever back in Beijing.The staff was great!
