It is my first hostel in Asia... I still remember the good atmosphere is the cafe on ground floor and nice view from the rooftop... However, the location is a little far from MRT. In conclusion, I really enjoy these few days there xxx

Staff members were polite and the hostel was pretty cool and quirky. A little bit expensive but so is the whole of Singapore!

Can't get enough of this place. My first choice on frequent trips to Singapore, due to rooftop lounge overlooking Arab Street area, and generous breakfast. Dorms and bathrooms are a bit crowded, but that's hostel life. People who stay here tend to be "better behaved" than those in slightly cheaper guesthouses. I was reminded how much I like this place when I had to book extra night this time in a different hostel, because Shophouse was fully booked. Will stay there again unless price shoots up.

I stayed 12 nights. Great hostel, I would stay again and would recommend. Rooms are air conditioned (a must in Singapore). Breakfast is mediocre - but you should go out and eat some yummy buns somewhere else anyway. Excellent location for my purposes. Never had to wait to use the bathrooms. Just don't get the bed right next to the door, because of hot air, noise and light coming in when door is opened. Bed was comfortable. Lots of stairs, beware.

Located right in the heart of the Malaysian heritage quarters, which is a quaint neighborhood right next to the downtown area. Staff is super friendly and always go out of their way to help us! Both the facilities as well as wifi is serviceable, and breakfast is pretty basic. Overall my favorite hostel in Singapore and I would definitely recommend anyone to try it out! Oh, five floors without an elevator can be a hassle.

The hostel was like most hostel, but could be better as some Singapore hostels surpasses this standards. Many things needed extra costs such as an eftra 5% if you used your credit card to pay and money for cunilary products.

Good Hostel

I really liked staying at this hostel. The dorm rooms are nice, although the air con was broken for the few nights we were staying, but they did give us an extra fan. The hostel has a really nice roof terrace where you can have the free breakfast. There is also a really cool cafe on the ground floor that does good food and a great selection of beers/ales/ciders. It's also in a good location . Would definitely recommend staying here while in Singapore.

Nice hostel, was happy with our stay. Clean beds, clean rooms. Rooftop area was cool with lots of seating - good area to meet people. Directions to hostel were good and easy to reach other places. Really great wifi. Everybody gets their own locker with key provided. Aircon was nice and cold!! Information on the walls and homemade books about Singapore. Perhaps the guy on front desk could be a little friendlier. Staff maintain hostel very well!!

The toilet on the 4th Floor smells like pee. Gross!! Breakfast is great and lasts till 3 pm! Cafe downstairs is expensive, so is laundry. Great and helpful staff! Good location and comfy beds.

The bathrooms were so cramped compared to other places I've stayed in Singapore, particularly the showers/toilet combo. The coffee was instant and sucked. I just need decent brewed coffee when I wake up. The bunk beds could use privacy screens but the beds were comfy enough.

Really nice hostel, staff are super friendly and Salina was so helpful!! Would definitely stay here again. Great location 10 mins walk from mrt and bus station and loads of places to eat and drink in the area.

Last time I stayed (2 months ago) I had a little gripe about the Wi-Fi but no complaints this time - super fast and stable and in fact best it has ever been (I have stayed here about 5 times over the last 2 years). As always well run and friendly staff and for me, the rooftop terrace is the big selling point as I always have work to do when in Singapore. The only negative is the bathrooms could probably do with a little work otherwise 10/10.

Hostel had the perfect location to get anywhere really quick. Just about a 5 minute walk to the next metro station. For Singapore it was quite cheap but nothing really to complain about. Breakfast was okay, stuff really helpful and the roof terrace just great. Will definitely come back.

Very secure hostel and a nice breakfast included too. Bedrooms were spacious with lockers and your own plug and light. It is just a short walk from Little India and it's pretty easy to get into the city centre from there. However, I wasn't too impressed with the bathrooms - one wasn't working and the other two smelt quite bad. The shower and toilet in one was probably the tightests packed I've seen, so it was drenched in there. Because of this I probably wouldn't return, otherwise it was great!
