“It was a good stay. But I found a bed bug in my bed, and when to get breakfast in the morning, since I woke up late, I wasn't able to find dishes or cups, or something to put in the bread (I only found clean cups after finishing eating, cause someone showed me where I could wash my hands - in the sink).”

Located above a café with interesting shops and eateries nearby. Given keycard (door) and key (locker). Clean and comfy. Breakfast is the usual offering of bread and cereal. Good value stay.

Security and location excellent, can't fault it. Sheff generally smiley and helpful. But, there's no atmosphere for a 'social hostel'. Very small communal space and other guests were unfriendly (this isn't the hostels fault though), people talking loudly in dorms way past midnight, generally bad vibes. But we might just have picked a bad week to come. Average cleanliness and facilities. I'd stay here again and just hope for a better vibe. Attached cafe is nice.

Excellent location, lovely staff.....will certainly stay here again!!

I wish there had been at least one toilet that didn't double as the shower on the same floor as our room. Breakfast very basic, but all in all a cute hostel. I felt safe here. Wifi worked well. Big lockers and beds did not creak. No lockout time. Kind of a small space in general, but it works!

Great location, in a cool neighborhood and nearby to the metro. Hostel has rooftop terrace and great AC.

The staff didn't seem very with it, and no-one offered to help me drag my suitcase up the stairs when I arrived. The hostel does have a nice atmosphere, with comfy beds but the showers were annoying as there was no-where to keep anything dry in the toilet/ shower cubicle.

Nice hostel, showers a bit grim. Good breakfast!

It is my first hostel in Asia... I still remember the good atmosphere is the cafe on ground floor and nice view from the rooftop... However, the location is a little far from MRT. In conclusion, I really enjoy these few days there xxx

Staff members were polite and the hostel was pretty cool and quirky. A little bit expensive but so is the whole of Singapore!

Can't get enough of this place. My first choice on frequent trips to Singapore, due to rooftop lounge overlooking Arab Street area, and generous breakfast. Dorms and bathrooms are a bit crowded, but that's hostel life. People who stay here tend to be "better behaved" than those in slightly cheaper guesthouses. I was reminded how much I like this place when I had to book extra night this time in a different hostel, because Shophouse was fully booked. Will stay there again unless price shoots up.

I stayed 12 nights. Great hostel, I would stay again and would recommend. Rooms are air conditioned (a must in Singapore). Breakfast is mediocre - but you should go out and eat some yummy buns somewhere else anyway. Excellent location for my purposes. Never had to wait to use the bathrooms. Just don't get the bed right next to the door, because of hot air, noise and light coming in when door is opened. Bed was comfortable. Lots of stairs, beware.

Located right in the heart of the Malaysian heritage quarters, which is a quaint neighborhood right next to the downtown area. Staff is super friendly and always go out of their way to help us! Both the facilities as well as wifi is serviceable, and breakfast is pretty basic. Overall my favorite hostel in Singapore and I would definitely recommend anyone to try it out! Oh, five floors without an elevator can be a hassle.

The hostel was like most hostel, but could be better as some Singapore hostels surpasses this standards. Many things needed extra costs such as an eftra 5% if you used your credit card to pay and money for cunilary products.

Good Hostel

I really liked staying at this hostel. The dorm rooms are nice, although the air con was broken for the few nights we were staying, but they did give us an extra fan. The hostel has a really nice roof terrace where you can have the free breakfast. There is also a really cool cafe on the ground floor that does good food and a great selection of beers/ales/ciders. It's also in a good location . Would definitely recommend staying here while in Singapore.

A nice relaxed hostel in a really cool area.

Nice hostel, was happy with our stay. Clean beds, clean rooms. Rooftop area was cool with lots of seating - good area to meet people. Directions to hostel were good and easy to reach other places. Really great wifi. Everybody gets their own locker with key provided. Aircon was nice and cold!! Information on the walls and homemade books about Singapore. Perhaps the guy on front desk could be a little friendlier. Staff maintain hostel very well!!

Really nice place. Liked the terrace at the top floor.

The toilet on the 4th Floor smells like pee. Gross!! Breakfast is great and lasts till 3 pm! Cafe downstairs is expensive, so is laundry. Great and helpful staff! Good location and comfy beds.
