It would be nice to have curtains for the top bunks as well. The bunks were small and there was very limited space to put your things. The lights were on in the dorm until late. Perhaps posting a note about taking short showers would be in order.

Good wee hostel. I think it gets a bit outshone by other places but it ticked all the boxes and the guy that owns it was grand.

It is a fairly nice cozy hostel, seemed like it was run by a nice young couple. The male at least spoke some english. Only issue I had with it was how far it was from Shijo Dori, although it is located fairly close to Kyoto Station which was nice. Security was not great, but that is the case with most hostels. The computers they had were almost pointless as they were extremely slow and unreliable. Overall though it was not too bad.
