Stayed with my friend here for a week and really liked it. The people were nice and staff were helpful. The rooms were ok, bathrooms nice and big. Kichen small but ok and good food in the bar. Had lots of fun at Trivia on the Monday.

Me and my friend stayed here over the weekend and loved it. The nightclub upstairs was wicked and ate tasty food in the bar throughout our stay. The rooms were great and staff were really lovely and knew the area and good things to do.

There is a nightclub on top of the hotel; I slept there (or at least I tried) on saturday night and the noise was terrible. All balconies are locked so if you wanna have a smoko you have to go down on the street sharing the busy lift with all the people going up and down from the nightclub and that was really annoying. Check out is supposed to be at 10 o'clock but it's actually at 11; that's good.

I didn't enjoy this hostel - it was full of long-termers and so being a temporary guest I found it intimidating. My dorm had 4 lockers and 6 beds and of course they were all taken. The dorms are dingy and I didn't really want to to hang about in the room apart from to sleep. The staff are friendly and helpful though!

The kitchen in the hostel is not set up to deal with more then 2 people cooking at a time. At any one time there was only 1 spoon and 3 forks to use between everyone, when it was said to staff, one set of knife and fork was offered. We also had a little extra non paying guest in our room ( mouse). The bar and resturant is good, it offers very affordable meals and great entertainment. The emergency exit door was often locked from upstairs

not only did I find the Staff to be rude but also the security were taking their role over the top. while i was there they abused and bullied a customer, The main person involved was the club manager! Also my final night in the hotel, they over booked the room and someone was in my bed! I went down stairs to say something but no one was there! So I had to sleep on the floor. I WAS NOT IMPRESSED AND WON'T STAY AGAIN. It would have been better sleeping on the street!

Rooms are dark, only one bathroom for 10 bed dorm, reception area not very welcoming. Should of booked me an airport bus but didn't - did get my money back though.

Staff are soooooo rude. Girl asked where I was from and I said I was Australian she made up a load of garbage story about them having a 7 night minimum (others had just checked in for 1 night). Literally refused to let me stay past the 2 nights I had booked. It's overpriced anyway and I was bitten by BUGS in bed. I met some cool people there but they need female only rooms as it was a bit much being only 2 girls in a room full of drunk guys and a mouse. Not enough lockers.

This is perhaps one of the worst hostel stays I have ever experienced across my many years traveling across Australia, Asia and Europe. Not only was the cleanliness significantly below par, the music beat thumped through h walls well into the early hours of the morning. If these conditions were not enough, I was left with an unpleasant reminder of my stay at the St Kilda Beach House for a full week following, with a significant bite on my leg that led to an infection. I would not recommend this.

We (3 girls) stayed in a dorm with 7 guys who were living there, when we went in to the room we didnt know which beds were free as the linen from the previous persons was still on the beds. We had to go to reception with the dirty linen and get new linen and make the beds ourselves. The room looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks, the smell was horrific (think dirty feet and rotten eggs). Couldn't get out of there fast enough.

This hostel was so bad we actually left 1 night before we were due to check out, Even though we had paid upfront. Rooms are dirty, Kitchen is too small and filthy. there is a nightclub on the roof that becomes the staff's priority once it opens and its like the hostel guests are an inconvience. Terrible terrible place.

Pros: Nice area in St.Kilda. Nice room to watch movies and chill out. Cons: Very small kitchen. Slow elevator. Another room on top of us so we would hear everything they do...

Really great stay, it was quiet in our room- although i can imagine some rooms get a lot of noise because of all the bars. It was cleaned every day and we even got an extra large room for the price of a normal one! Thumbs up! nicest hostel I've stayed in! and I've travelled quite a bit!
