The staff were friendly, helped me book a taxi, picked me up form the airport and took me back there when I checked out.

I saw some other hostels in HK, is not the best, is not the worst. Is clean for those hostel standards and the rooms are not that bad. My only complain is that I heard many rats above the room.

Not that bad! I only read very bad comments about the hostel, but after all it was not so bad. The room was miniscule but rather clean and newly renovated. Inet was quick and the staff friendly. The location is pretty good as well. Would stay there again. Only the price was skyrocketing around New Year's Eve. And after changing the booking they insisted on us loosing our deposit (25USD). Which is correct but not really friendly. So make sure that your booking doesnt change.

Tai Wan hotel was relatively good. It's just that when we arrived there the room was not yet ready and they first had to clean it and we had to wait for quite sometime. Also, when we needed an adapter for charging our cellphones and cameras they charged us 20HKD for it when they could have just lent us one.

The place was in a very busy commercial building. Getting to the floor was difficult as the elevators were small and overcrowded. The receptionist could be little bit more friendly. Overall, the hostel needs more work to get better.

It looked very dodgy and and there was rubbish lying around. I booked a single room but got a room with two beds since I arrived very late at night and the guy at the reception asked if it was ok to place some random person in the room with me which of course I refused. There was no storage room to leave luggage somewhere during the daytime so that I took it with me on my daytrip to Hongkong. The room itself looked clean but one day after I stayed there I felt like having fleebites.

chungking mansion the elevator is a bottleneck

the room is slightly larger then the other guest houses but very clean, with free WI FI connection.

We had a double-dormitory room with a bunkbed. When we entered the room, there were cockroaches running all over the bed and the small cupboard on the wall. We complained at the desk, the girl just said the room is as clean as usual(!), and we can't complain, but they can clean by wiping the room - what is not really usefull when you have cockroaches. The dormitory itself is very dirty and smells like feces! We checked out immediately after check-in but didn't get the money back. NEVER AGAIN!!

on the hostel wall of comment was written "I will not reccomand even to my mother in law!" This i think says everything... We were calling it prison, it was really small and in the worst building of hong kong... But i have to say that if u need just cheap place to sleep it is ok...
