Bad stay. Had helpful interactions with 2 of the staff but then another was very unhelpful and clearly did not want to be bothered. We were asking how to get to the Grand Palace, a major tourist destination, and she was not helpful. We also requested 2 twin beds but they had to be pushed together because otherwise the AC leaked on one of them. Also, it was extremely loud. I could hear the entire conversation of the woman next door as well as the street noise. Ear plugs weren't enough.

Nice staff, comfortable (but basic) rooms and a wonderful location. A short walk from the madness of Khao San road but far enough of of it to be very peaceful and relaxing when you need it.

Not really a hostel if that's what you are looking for (no communal spaces), but it is a great value-for-money private room (which is what we wanted) very close to Khao San Road. Very easy 5 min walking distance to the many restaurants and nightlife nearby, yet it is always nice and quiet back in the room. Room was quite basic - beds weren't very comfortable and bathroom flooded every time someone showered, but considering it's so cheap and it's location it's worth it. Quite friendly staff too.
