Great location and fantastic staff! Perfectly clean, and it's no wonder as there is someone cleaning 24/7! Rooms are basic but nice. A bit more expensive than other places close but worth it. Bathrooms and showers are great as is the free breakfast and drink facilities. Wifi is good but only available in the lobby which is the only thing that could be improved on, wifi throught would be perfect.

My room and at least the other ones on rhe second story don't have a window - I just like natural light :) And the rooftop is not as pretty as on the pictures. But the staff was extremely friendly, gave all the infos, that I needed for sightseeing, transportation... Also there was a simple breakfast included (toast, butter, peanut butter, marmelade, coffe and tea) to take by oneself It was very pleasant stay right next to Chinatown, Central Market and chinese tempels, mosques and hindutempel

Great hostel in a great location. 2 minute walk to the nearest MRT station, so it's easy to get to anywhere around the city. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms, showers and bathrooms were clean and the hostel had all the facilities you need- free wifi, breakfast included, 24hr reception, lockers for dorm rooms etc. At this price I would definitely stay here again.

Recommendable place to stay. The location is good as it's close to a major street but half a block away (so the traffic noise is a little less). The communal area is really good but people don't stay there having a drink so you need to ask others to go explore KL with you! This hostel is hotel level clean and the showers/bathrooms look custom designer constructed. Construction works nearby are noisy in the morning (more so than usual KL buzz) BUT should be finished by April 2015.

Great directions&easy to find. Very welcomeing&helpful staff. Very clean for such a large house, clean bathrooms even with the cheapest dorm. comfortable beds. aircon works perfectly. breakfast is simple but free and fills you up til after noon. It was my first stop on my trip and i had a good three nights here, found a good nights sleep and plenty of new friends.

I was there years ago. The place is still a favorite. Close to Chinatown and well connected to other interesting places. It's calm and relaxing.

Really close to the metro station and to the attractions (chinatown, central market, indipendence monumemt...) Personal was very kind and friendly. I shared a room with 3 girls and they were very nice. 2 bathrooms and 2 showers... Clean and seemed to be enough for all (no queue at all... At least for me)

Nice, clean, centrally located hostel. Only complaint is no Wifi in the rooms, which turned the common room into a sea of screens.

Good location, nice atmosphere, fairly clean. Some of the staff are nice, some are very not.

Check-in was easy and very professional. We had great roommates and really enjoyed our stay. It was a very safe feeling with 24 hour desk service. The only thing I would maybe have a comment about would be the no wifi in rooms. Downstairs had VERY high speed internet though.

second time here. Like the staff. I would suggest that they give people slippers for hygienic purposes. I love the people there.

We stayed at the Explorers twice whilst in Malaysia. The staff were all friendly and helpful, right from our first communication, when I confirmed our reservation the night before our first stay. It really is in a perfect location. Directly oppoisite Cinatown and a few minutes' walk from bus and train services. We took a nice stroll to the National Mosque one morning and walked from Little India back to the hostel (50 minutes, not 5 as the map lies!) Breakfast is coffee/tea and toast :)

Loved our stay here - brilliant location, nice common area, awesome rooftop, helpful staff. Only little minus is complete lack of any smaller lights in dorms, meaning a lot of packing/sorting/unpacking in complete darkness. But all in all, would definitely recommend. :)

Amazing time at this hostel. Reception is great. Staff is knowledgeable. The facilities are really comfortable. Being right around china town, it's only a walk away from most major attractions or the bus to them.
