A great hostel in Kl. Good location, a 3 min walk to the market, and near all transit lines. The hostel is spotless, and the cleaners are moping and polishing all day. Cleanest bathrooms in a hostel I've ever seen. Only gripe is some rooms have no windows, and changing to one that has was rebuffed. Great roof area to watch the storms.

This place was an oasis in the middle of a chaotic area of KL. Close to markets, food and transportation.

We had a great stay at explorers hostel. The staff was very helpful and nice, the rooms had aircon and the showers were hot. No complaints at all. Good location too, very near China town and lots of delicious street food. If we're ever in KL again we would definitely stay again! :)

I had a really nice time here. It is a very beautiful hostel, and the rooms are pretty nice. Bathrooms are lovely. Wi-fi and internet are very here and there, however. Location is very close to Chinatown and LTR station Pasar Seni, which is just one stop from KL Sentral station, and a few stops from the Petronas towers and all the shopping, clubbing, etc. i.e. it is extremely convenient.

Enjoyed our stay here, was good location and reasonable price for KL. The free toast in the mornings was handy too.

Clean rooms, clean nice bathrooms/showers. Would have appreaciated lockers in the dorm rooms large enough to put my backpack in...this is a common amenity in int'l youth hostels that was missing at explorers. Also, the A/C rooms should have blankets because it gets freezing cold at night! Otherwise, great place.

A really good enough place to stay in. Absolutely friendly and approachable staff, good WiFi clean rooms(i \ Could use more hooks to hang clothes in the room though. Or a clothes bar with hangers? Explorer's Guesthouse is my number one choice to stay whenever I'm in KL!

Great hostel in a good location for a good price!. Staff were very friendly offering lots of useful advice including a free bus service that takes you up to the shopping district (from there you can easily walk to KLCC). Only complaint is that rooms smelt a little damp, this was OK though as we were only there for two night.

We absolutely loved our stay. Clean and fresh bathrooms, nice newely renovated rooms and even if our room didn't have windows it didn't feel small. Don't miss the rooftop terrace. The location was perfect close to chinatown and not far to the LRT and MRT. We liked it so much we stayed here again on our way back from Borneo.

Location is very convenient, close to Petaling street and pasar semi let (1 stop from kl sentral). Staff are super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is basic but they have excellent peanut butter (fresh jars each day!). Very safe intercom security and clean shared bathrooms. We have been there 3 times now and each too. Was very quiet.

After a great stay last year, I decided to book here again when I found myself back in KL. I wasn’t expecting them to remember me; after all, they must get thousands of guests year round. Yet, as soon as I walked through the door, I was greeted as if I were a returning family member. It was awesome! I visited during CNY so the staff made sure to let everyone know what was going on and where. The hostel is as clean as ever, showers are still the best and the staff has only gotten nicer.
