Where do I start... - security: my laptop, passport, cellphone... were stolen from my room. The best thing is; a girl who is working in the hostel, and was also staying/living in my room of 6, let the thief in and went back to bed while he was stealing my stuff. He just walked out again. - cleanliness: I am everything but a hygiene freak, but floor was utterly disgusting, they gave me used sheets, dirty glasses laying around,... - facilities: breakfast is toast with butter and water from tap ...
Overall it was a good hostel with good staff, facilities and location however the bed, couldn't even be considered a bed the mattress was bent like a banana!
Finally a hostel with a decent kitchen! Excellent location too!
Great location, staff and atmosphere!! If you go to Dublin, you must go to Times!!

A friendly and social hostel, in a very central location, right next to temple bar. Rooms are spacious and secure, there's a locker for each bed if you bring your own padlock. Each room has its own bathroom with toilet and shower, but don't expect it to be cleaned every day! Wifi was extremely poor, don't rely on it here if you need to do any bookings or banking! Staff are incredibly friendly and often do free things in the common room, like dinners or mulled wine. And they have a guitar.
The location of the hostel is absolutely prime and definitely a perk of the hostel. In terms of cleanliness, the bathroom did not seem to be managed the entire time I was there (3 days). They also placed me in a room with students and others who were living in the hostel on a more permanent basis (a month to a whole semester's time). This made schedules of the people in the room very different and some roommates were verbally upset. This isn't completely the hostel's fault, something to consider
In general, the staff was very rude whenever we asked them for help about traveling throughout the city. They talked to us as if we should already know the answers to our questions ... Not realizing that we were first-time visitors!
This is a very good hostel. One of the best i've been. Good showers, big rooms, clean, and with a perfect location. The staff definitelly makes the difference!!! The wifi works very well at the reception, but at the second floor(rooms, and kitchen) it is slower, and some times, didn't work. The breakfast is good.
Lovely pancakes on Sunday morning, friendly staff, clean and warm.
The manager was great and helped me out a lot!
The hostel was nice, but the beds were really squeaky and there was no locking facilities in the rooms. There's also only the ensuites, no extra spillover shower rooms if the room is really busy.
The location is just perfect. Very good value for money. Would advice to bring your own earplugs, because rooms can be quite noisy at night.
Really great room and good spot. Staff were great for advice and even called around about tours for us. recommended!
Location was great, staff was helpful, and the rooms aren't bad, but you can feel every spring in the mattresses. The shared kitchen area is kind of grimy, and the shower alternates between burning hot and freezing cold, so you have to jump in and out of the flow to not get scalded or doused with cold water. Only other complaint was that it was really noisy in the mornings – we got woken up every day to the sound of people stomping around in boots, though admittedly our room was near the stairs.
Nice ol' hostel just off Westmoreland St. Ideally placed for the city centre, and presumably other tourist things. The girl on the desk was flirty enough too which was good.
The staff is always very helpful and kind. The room is clean, and the atmosphere in the hostel is homey. The only thing that Tims can improve is the kitchen. There are not enough seats, and some of the chairs are broken.
The hostel was in a good location, walking distance to everything in Dublin. Showers were hot, beds were pretty comfortable. (We stayed in the double room) Day staff was very helpful. Overnight staff barely spoke English. Kitchen facilities were very useful, cook tops but no ovens, downer. Bus station close. Overall a good place to stay on a budget.
Very nice staff and a lovely relaxed atmosphere.
The overall stay was great! Breakfast could have a bit more substance but the toast, cereal and milk were great quality! A renovation and paint job to the entire place would make this hostel top notch but cleaning is done daily.
I had really great time there!!! If I would come back to Dublin, I will reconsider the idea to spend my nights there!!!
