It was a 30 minutes walk from Venice Beach, THEY HAD BED BUGS, and when I told them they only put me in another bed and the same night there was somebody else in that bed!! Michael and Inga were nice, but the place is not well managed, worst hostel I have stayed in so far for sure!! The beds are really uncomfortable too!! Bed bugs is a serious matter, when you find one you have to exterminate the whole place, no matter the cost, don't go there they need to exterminate the place! And they won't

All in all, the hostel was nice. Information, however, is not very good. There are two locations, hostelworld.com has the wrong adress, check-in is in another place. The second place, where I slept, is like a real house with big bathroom, kitchen and living room (+ TV). But for breakfast you have to walk down to the other house. You can walk to the beach in 20min. Tax is not included in the prices! For the prices I ended up paying I expected a little more comfort. The bed was really unstable.

I had paid $4.33 on the internet, the site said the difference i was going to pay at the hostel was $23.67 misleading)the owner made me pay at $28 saying the rate didnt include tax, i felt cheated, I slept on a torn duvet and not clean, bed.was squeaky.all night worse with the person on top, The owner pretends to be nice but i didn't think so, he is all.about money and from a business point of view, he is going to lose. customers, improvement can be.done if constructive criticism is

Everything's fine except one thing - changing of the rules. When I arrived I was informed that the day of departure if I leave my luggage after 2pm I would pay extra 5$ (quite surprising, but ok). The next day in the morning, the day of my departure, I was informed by another person from the staff that I would pay extra 10$. The situation was really unpleasant. Finally I paid 5$ (and I wouldn't have paid more because I hate if someone plays like that). This situation left a bad impression.

It takes 30 min to the beach by foot. In return it is a calm and safe surrounding. The stop of the blue line bus from and to the airport is 2 min away by foot. The atmosphere in the hostel is very pleasant.

The main property on Yale seemed nice but since we had booked a private room we were further down the street. When we arrived they had just installed a carpet and the whole room was in disarray. The staff did her best to get things ready as quickly as possible. She was really nice but overly apologetic about hosteling in general. We've stayed in a lot of hostels so it seemed unnecessary that she was trying to soothe us as if we didn't get the concept and were secretly appalled. Good location.

An older home converted into a hostel. Good location for buses but a 20minute walk to Venice Beach. Beds need to be repaired (I was on the top bunk which was wobbly and very creaky). Linen was old/not very clean looking. Rooms and bathrooms couldn't be locked (which is only ok if there are bathrooms designated female or male) so no privacy whatsoever having a shower/getting changed. Staff members were friendly + helpful.

The location was a bit far from the beach. The hostel was nearly impossible to find because hostelworld had given me a wrong address and i was never emailed the correct address. The staff was great and friendly. It was a plus that there was a shuttle from the airport.

Staff was great! We stayed four nights, only problem that happened was in the middle of night, when (there were no staff) smoke detector started to beep in the ceiling and we couldn't turn that off.. The neighborhood was peaceful and hostel was 20 min walk from the ocean..

The staff was excellent, i only stayed one night and had to wake up before dawn the next day, so they put me in a room with less people so i wouldn't wake everyone up, and so i could get to bed earlier, very accommodating. Wish i could have stayed longer the hostel seemed pretty cool with decent facilities, nice kitchen, ect.

The beds need a bit of oil, I didn't mind that they dipped low but the creaking drove me insane :) other than that had such a lovely experience.

The staff is really nice and helpful. However the place is so cold due to bad insulation and it's not clean especially the bedrooms, they smell really bad I could not sleep in my bed cuz of the very low hygienic level of the beddings.

Most of the rooms are very cold during the winter session. Walking distance to Venice Beach about 30 minutes.
