🛎️ Important Check-In Info: Check-in is 9:00 AM to 12:00 Midnight. Our doors open at 9:00 AM (no early calls or bag drops please). We manage two buildings, but ALL guests must check in at: 2915 YALE AVE, MDR, CA 90292. Questions? Call 1-310-301-3983.

📝 10 THINGS TO NOTE BEFORE ARRIVING:

1. 🌎 WHO WE CATER TO: We are a budget youth hostel catering mainly to international backpackers, students, and travelers with proof of travel.

U.S. travelers are welcome with proof of onward travel. Local CA residents may not be admitted. If unsure, please contact us before booking.

An open mind and shared spaces make for an awesome stay!

2. 💰 TAXES & PAYMENT: A 14% state tax is added to your balance on arrival (unless stated otherwise). We accept cash, Visa/Mastercard cards, and Apple/Google wallets (cards/wallets carry a small processing fee).

3. ⏰ HOURS & CHECKOUT: We are not a 24-hour hostel. Reception Check-ins run from 9:00 AM to Midnight; no late arrivals unless pre-arranged with a surcharge fee. Rooms ready normally at 1:00 PM.

Checkout is 10:00 AM: You must clear your room by 10:00 AM. Free lounge/storage use until 1:00 PM; a $5 day fee applies to use amenities up to 6:00 PM. Check-in address: 2915 YALE AVE, MDR, CA 90292.

4. 🏠 OUR VENUES & AMENITIES: We have a vintage country house and a cozy boutique building 200m away. Check-in is always at 2915 YALE AVE, MDR, CA 90292. Includes free WiFi, kitchen, lockers (bring a padlock!), tea/coffee, boogie boards, and lounge TV. Cruisers ($15 + Deposit), laundry, and towels ($2) available.

5. 🚗 FREE PARKING: Safe street parking is available near both venues. Follow city signs: never park on red curbs, in alleys, or by hydrants. Check LADOT Rules or use Turo for rentals.

6. 🚌 BUS DIRECTIONS:

LAX Bus: Free "C - LAX" shuttle to LAX Bus Center. Take Big Blue Bus #3 to Washington/Lincoln ($1.25, exact change). Cross to Walgreens, walk 3 blocks to 2915 YALE AVE, MDR, CA 90292.

LAX Ride-Share: Uber/Lyft costs $20–$30.

Union Station: Bus #33 to Lincoln ($1.75), walk past McDonald's to Walgreens, then 3 blocks to our Yale location.

7. 📅 48-HOUR CANCELLATION: Cancel/change free via your booking platform up to 48 hours before your arrival date. Late cancellations or no-shows are charged the first night. ⚠️ Exception: Private rooms or stays of 4+ nights require a non-refundable 2-night pre-charge. Please review your booking platform's terms for deposit refunds.

8. 🍻🍷🚬🚫🌿🍽️ HOUSE RULES: Beer and wine are welcome; hard liquor is not. Cigarettes on the outdoor patio only. Strictly no marijuana/weed on-site (enjoy it at the beach!). Wash your own dishes & keep the communal kitchen clean.

9. 💡 PRO TRAVEL TIPS: Bring USD cash (Euros are hard to exchange locally) and a USA power adapter. Pack a padlock for your locker. Note our check-in spot: 2915 YALE AVE, MDR, CA 90292. Supermarkets, restaurants, ATMs (Wendy's Donuts has a $1 fee) and SIM card shops are nearby. Most importantly, bring a positive attitude and an open mind.

10. 📢 📢 SPECIAL EVENT POLICY (June 8 – July 19, 2026): Bookings during this window are fully pre-charged 14 days prior, completely non-refundable, and respectful backpacker conduct is strictly required.
