Tropical Guest House & Hostel Reviews

A cute and fun place at the beginning. Unvortunately, the staff that we encountered was a bit pushy in recommending what seemed to be places where they got some kind of commission. Some of the places, like the restaurant in front, where actually good recommendations (although they always recommend it for everything). But, when needed to go to the airport and we told them we wanted to take the bus or the train, they insisted a lot on getting a taxi...and even lied about how long it would

Really small rooms.

When we arrived, they did not have our booked room ready for us. We got a twin-bed room, and we booked a queen-bed room. First, we had to move after one night, back and forth the next day and also the 3rd day (3 nights total). However, when we demanded to get what we booked, we got it. Do notice, that the AC was not modifiable, so it was very cold and there was no window in the room.

Overall the hostel was great, the room was fine, and the staff are friendly. I think the staff should be able to provide more assistance with organizing tourist activities / make recommendations for places to visit, restaurants to eat at, bars to party at etc... Also, the facilities are very minimal, but having said that, you don't really been much more than what is already there considering the size of this hostel (very small and cosy).
