One of the best thing here is the knowledgeable staff. If you have any question, Joel will have the answer. She will help you to find way to cut cost expenses. The location is located in residential area, which means price of food around here is little bit cheaper. It's not recommended to stay here, if in the night you want to go Khoa San area. Staying here, you'll have a great experience to meet and chat with other traveller.

I love this place very much. Close to the SkyTrain, close to local food markets and still quiet most of the time. Joy, the entertaining owner of U-Baan Guesthouse knows everything a tourist might ask. You plan to continue your trip to another place in Thailand? Just tell her and she will give you good advice on how and when to get there or what activities you might enjoy there.

If you're looking for somewhere away from lots of loud, drunk tourists this is the place. Close to local markets where there is lots of yummy, cheap food. Close to bts station so it's easy to travel everywhere in bkk. Clean, aircon!, and quiet at night. Joy is a wonderful host, super helpful and friendly!

Our host Joy was the most helpful, hilarious and happy host we have met so far on our travels. She can make an instant connection with you and is in fact more of a friend than a member of staff. Never felt the need to go for an awful night out in the expensive, Western quarter of town as there were always interesting people sitting round in the communal chilling area chatting, debating and story-telling long into the night. Lots of perfectly good and cheap street food within 30 seconds.

The owner - young lady - was the only Thai person I understood speaking English :) (In all the other cases they had such a strong Thai accent that it was really difficult to understand anything or did not speak English at all). Enthusiastic, helpfull person :) The place is 5 min walk to SkyTrain station.

Awesome place. In the middle of a Bangkok neighborhood. Close to public transit and the local market. Joy, the owner is an awesome lady. Very friendly and helpful, and knows everything about the tourist attractions in the city. She really helped me to get to my flight when I was late.

Amazing place to stay in Bangkok. Location is non-touristy, if that is your thing, close to many food markets, and close to the skytrain. Getting there from the airport is a little bit of a pain with 3 transfers but definitely doable. Easy to get to the other parts of town. The hostess is amazing with recommendations but you really should have an idea of what you want to do to take advantage of this. For less than 10 USD/night, I had zero problems.

We were very happy with the stay in this hostel. Joy, the owner, was very helpful with any help that we need during our trip. It makes our trip way much easier. The place is very clean and it is always securely locked. Location is satisfactory as it is located very near to a BTS station. Overall, i would definitely recommend this hostel.

A little out of the way, but still pretty convenient. It's right next to a BTS stop and a bus stop. Joy is super helpful, and saved me some time and money with her advice. Overall, one of the better hostels I've stayed at.
