Have stayed at both yes inn locations (causeway bay and fortress hill), and thought the facilities at the causeway bay location were a little bit nicer, especially the bathrooms. Otherwise, it's a great place to stay, I like the location a lot and the staff were excellent and very friendly, going above and beyond what was required of them for their guests. Great value for money, would stay there again and recommend to anyone looking for a cheap place to stay in Hong Kong.

The room i was in was right beside reception and one of the evenings another guest was making a terrible noise at about 2:30 am. The staff member in charge said or did nothing to stop him. Also, the toilets were not flushing because of a broken pipe for 2 nights. But for the cost of the room not much was expected.

The hostel was ok. You get what you pay for but nothing more. The rooms are ok and clean and the location is good but the lack of common area means that there is no atmosphere or character and there is nowhere you can relax. I wouldn't recommend staying at this hostel because I'm sure you could find a better hostel than this and I definitely wouldn't recommend it to people travelling alone because there is little opportunity to meet fellow travellers.

We reached the hostel and was referred to the unit across the road. Although the latter unit is good, but we wished we could be more informed on the changes. The unit we stayed in was good and well kept, with all the facilities we could hope for, including iron, refrigerator, hot shower, and even a very simple kitchen with electric kettle and induction cooker. The location was great, with tramcar and MTR stations within walking distance. Local eateries with good quality and variety abound.

The Location was perfect! Metro and the tram a few minutes away. We stayed in the 6 bed Dorm D7. A cosy room with 3 bunk beds with enough space for our 2 big backpacks under the lower one. For every bed it had a drawer with lock (key depot HKD 20 at the reception). The drawer for bed 2, 4,5,6 (ca.w500/d400/h250) drawer 1 ca. half of them, drawer 3 ca. 2 times bigger. Each bed had curtains for more privacy. A really good thing! We can recommend the Yesinn as a clean and good value hostel.

The hostel's not bad, especially for the price which was comparable with cheap places in Chungking/Mirador Mansions. It's very clean and nice, the locations is also good but... just lacks some atmosphere. One reason may be that it's on several floors (and there's no larger common room) and also things like various warnings (such as that staying in wrong dorm bed will result in a fine of a one-night stay's fee!!) just make me feel like the staff are my enemy and not friends as in good hostels.

Bedroom and bathroom are clean. Thats very important! Front officers were friendly and helpful. But cleaning service was not really nice. She didnt ask for permission to come into our room for the housekeeping even though it was our time to check out (we forgot out check out time)!

In my opinion there is no way to get a better "value for money" hostel in Hong Kong. Considering the price I must say the facilities were much better than expected (a nice wooden floor, a large enough bed for two, a spacious bathroom, a room that is cleaned often and properly and possibly most important of all large windows). Only idea for improvement - larger blankets, the one we had was way too small for two persons. I'm definitely keeping Yesinn Hostel in mind for my next trip!

Although my friends and I all know Mandarin, we don't know any Cantonese, so we were pretty happy to find that the employees know English. The place was clean, painted in bright colors, with artworks on the walls. A nice touch was the curtains around each bed, giving a feeling of privacy although we were 8 in the room. 5-10 minutes walk from Fortress Hill station, 20 minutes taxi drive from Kowloon train station. The area is very lively, but it was difficult to find food at a good price.

A reasonably priced, reasonably clean crash-pad for the night & not much else. Not a bad place to stay by any means though.
