The nostel is extremelly dirty.Showers are owful, the noise was terrible during the whole night! The breakfast was hardly eatable. The staff was not useful at all.

during the night i stayed some people had party until 3 am. they turned off the heater and it was very cold, since i was sleeping beside the door. the cover is thick enough to keep me warm, i almost stayed awake the whole night

Room was extremely hot and stuffy but other than that the stay was enjoyable. Nice staff and clean facilities in a decent location to the city.

It's the second time that I come to this hostel and they improved something from my first stay. Toilet and bedroom are very clean and nice. The luggage room is dirty but anyway is a secure place were to leave the luggage. The staff that was at the reception at my arrival was not friendly at all but after her other people were nice. The free breakfast is ok.

I definitely wouldn't stay here again. Have a look on the baggages room and you ll have an idea what is expecting for you upstairs. The bedroom is really dirty, they have blankets instead of duvet and with no cove for it, the carpet of the halls upstairs are very dirty, the shower are awful, you have to keep pressing a button or the water stops ( that's hard when your hands re busy washing your hair). The hostel is far from city centre. Breakfast finish at 9:00!!!

staff is not nice. the rooms were not really clean and stincked! this hostel doesn't worth those money!

Location was a bit far from the main action, but a nice little jaunt to walk off one of your many beers that you'll consume in Brussels. Bar in hostel was nice and cheap. Rooms were clean. WIFI didn't reach up to all the floors.

The facilities is not very good, the worst thing is that I have to cross the road to use the wifi because the room is in another building

Overall not a bad hostel, good staff and easy to find. Some drawbacks were the cold showers and slightly unclean rooms.

My experience at Van Gogh hostel was pretty neutral, not the greatest, yet not the worse. The location is close to a metro, yet a bit of walking distance from the city center. The staff were not very personable, the man who I checked in with seemed more bothered by me than welcoming. The hostel is clean, although the set up is a little strange as you have to go across the street to your room and there's no common room there. Perhaps others would have a better experience, but mine was just ok.

good hostel, a little bit too dirty and the service is not to helpful. The room are very little but there is a big bar with garden, and the location is good. The price is a little bit to much.

The hostel in general is very nice. The breakfast is big and the common area of the hostel is very comfortable. You can grab some local beers at the bar inside the hostel. The location is not the best one but is not bad at all. I do recommend the hostel.

The hostel is not very clean and the building is too old, you can hear the noise when you walk on the stairs. The reception is always without smile and seems not friendly. Not a place that you can feel well, but just a place to stay over.

Very well located, with incredible rooms, excellent breakfast for a very good price, all for a great price. The place for you to stay in Amsterdam, definitely!

Its definitely a very nice place to stay :) We stayed for 2 days and its close to most of the places in the city :) I would recommend this place :)

Some people from the staff were not that nice with the people there.

Wi-Fi connection wasn't inside the room, it was only inside the main location of the hostel.

Ok, so yeah, the entrance foyer and bar area smells .. But everything else about this hostel was absolutely fine! Beds were comfy, bedding supplied was fine, free wifi was great (although signal in bedroom on second floor not strong), breakfast was fine (real cheese would improve it loads), bar at nighttime is a cool place to be, and drinks are cheap! I would recommend the hostel put a sign on the door to the kitchen (right now it only says laundry) and equip the kitchen with kettle, cups,remote
