I would give 2.5 stars for this hostel if I could. The positive aspects of the hostel included the staff, who were helpful, the facilities which were quite good and the relatively cheap cost. Areas for improvement would be the security (I didn't see any lockers in the rooms although there were cages for belongings under the bed) and the cleanliness of the hostel, particularly in the bedroom. The hostel is not in the centre of Rotterdam but there are transport links.

Staff were great. But holy heck, this place is a nightmare. Every room has a different way of smelling terrible, the moldy first room I opened to the grizzled man angry dared sleep in the bed he used to store his wet towel and clothes, the second room with a strong yeasty armpit smell or the fecal front room. Boogers on the walls, roommate smoked weed through the night without alarm. This place is bad.

Dirty floor, elevator, bathroom everything. Homeless people mostly in the hostel due to ongoing housing crisis. I would like to admit that staff was polite and helpful. Seems like management is not present, conditions are overlooked, bad experience won't recommend to anyone facilities doesn't worth the price.
