The owner really does everything to make you feel part of a family and she is always making sure everyone is having a good time. I highly recommend staying here. The location is great with plenty of food options around but far enough from the noise. Good scooter rentals and its always clean.

Staying in DK1 hostel is like going to visit your Thai mom. Tharita is always taking care of everyone's stay in the hostel, in your confort, your safety and your well-being. She has really invested herself in making her hostal a place to go and enjoy. She makes socializing with other gests really easy. The place itself is really taken care of. The bathrooms are very nice. The beds are big and comfortable. AC al night makes it easy to sleep! Fans during the day. Also very nice kitchen available!

DK1 is fine, it just doesnt deserve what is currently a "9.8" rating for Atmosphere. The existing reviews make it seem like Mama organises all these events to help people sociaIise but there was none of that during my 4 night stay. Maybe she does them occasionally but there isnt even a whatsapp group so idk how she even lets everyone know when she feels like doing something. The layout of the common area is alsoterrible for socialisingbecause all the couches runalong the wall &dontface eachother
