Central Hostel Philos is a beautiful house built during the colonial period in 1761st newly refurbished meticulously to turn it into a modern guest house keeping the soul of the place.

We have different dorms with Japanese capsule beds concept and private rooms inspirited with the colonial times. Each bed comes equipped with your large locker, comfortable reading light, and ceiling light, those capsules offer privacy, and ample electrical outlets all in your private capsule.

We have a communal area for socialising, and a communal kitchen to serve up meals. The entire area is covered & illuminated to increase comfort for our guests. On the other hand, for all those who are working while traveling Central Hostel Philos has a coworking space with high-speed internet.

Our place has a beautiful garden provide an experience of life in Antigua Guatemala.

Great stay for a chill low budget weekend in Antigua. Definitely not a social hostel. We stayed in a private room which was great. Only complaint is the noise from the street but I am pretty sure that is unavoidable anywhere. Ever at the front desk was so nice and easy to work with!

Teníamos que pagar el 75% de nuestra reserva allí mismo, aceptan quetzales y el cambio del dollar es exagerado ellos pusieron un cambio desproporcionado para como estaba en ese momento el cambio. No pusieron tampoco muchas facilidades para encontrar un sitio para cambiarlo más justo. El desayuno muy bien y la habitación limpia, asi como los aseos y duchas. La habitación en la que nos alojamos tenía mucho ruido de la calle y no había mucha interacción entre viajeros dentro del hostel.
