MLK March

The MLK March in San Francisco invites you to join a 1.5-mile walk through the city honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy and the historic Selma to Montgomery marches. This event offers a chance to reflect on unity and justice while moving through familiar streets with others committed to civil rights. The route offers a meaningful way to engage with history and the ongoing pursuit of equality in a setting that feels purposeful and inviting. Whether alone or with friends, the march creates a shared moment of remembrance and hope. At the walk’s end, the gathering at Yerba Buena Gardens offers a quiet space for reflection and inspiration via an interfaith ceremony. This part encourages a pause to consider progress made and the work still ahead. It’s a moment that resonates deeply, especially for those who value combining action with thoughtful pause. The diverse mix of people adds to the sense that this is a collective effort grounded in respect and a desire for positive change.
